Queen Mab's niece, Fiona, has long been bored to tears by the intrigues of Court life. She'd prefer to cut loose at a punk club, knock back a few Thai beers, and hook up with a likely lad of similar interests. But when Fiona goes AWOL, she only gets as far as Manhattan's Inwood Park before a nasty demon nearly puts a permanent crimp in her plans—and a dark stranger sparks her desire.
All work and no play make Tobias Walker one cranky werewolf. After six months of doing his part to keep the peace during the delicate negotiations between the Others and humankind, he'd like nothing more than a good night's sleep—preceded by an enthusiastic mating session. The alluring woman he rescues in the park might be the answer to his most lustful prayers, but only if they can both stay alive long enough to find out who wants her dead and why.
Now, Fiona and Tobias must unravel a tangled web of treachery that spans branches of the Fae, Other, and mortal worlds, all the while falling into a dangerous attraction that could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship—or the end for them both.

"This was a fun read. There were so many places I laughed out loud. I loved the characters - Tobias and Fiona were great! Of course, I already love Graham and Rafe. This is a series that I had put on the back burner. I will now be moving it up front! It definitely kept me interested and was difficult to put down. The ending was a little predictable, but it was still a very enjoyable read."

“A sexy, engaging world spiced with humor that draws you in, never lets you go, and will leave you begging for more!”
— Cheyenne McCray, New York Times bestselling authorFun, fast, and fabulously sexy!
— Kerrelyn Sparks“The strong chemistry between the leads; a multitude of well-drawn, unique secondary characters; and a gritty urban setting make this a winning [listen]. Though part of a series, Warren excels at making her complex world accessible to new [listeners].”
— Publishers Weekly" It was okay. Just didn't hold my interest. So, I didn't finish it. "
— Angela, 2/18/2014" This was disapointing really! It didn't have enough action for my taste, the story line was good (with a few little kinks) but the ending was not! It was one of those ending where it seems like the authour have had enough of writing so she just chuck it in and cut it with a short simple ending! I could see protential in this story...IT NEEDS MORE WORK! "
— Werewolf☆Vi☆Iran♥, 2/15/2014" The eponymous, reluctant faerie princess is Fiona, which of course had me seeing green princesses and Shrek the whole novel. That's what having a young child with a DVD obsession does to you. The love interest is Tobias Walker, a werewolf guardian of Central Park. Worlds collide. A pixie gets smooshed. (Damn, and it wasn't that obnoxious one who kept messing with his grammar like Jar Jar Binks.) All in all, a good book that held my interest to the nice, little oh-so-neat ending. "
— Netanella, 2/12/2014" Could not put it down. Imagining the Fae its beauty and the journey was awesome. "
— Linda, 1/27/2014" Overall, this book was a fun read. It dragged throughout the middle a bit, but it was still an okay book. "
— Saralyn, 1/23/2014" if your body wants someone dont deny it youll end up jumping them when they least expect it "
— Lulu, 1/22/2014" I like the fact the heroine comments on the lack of consent when it comes to whole MATING process. That has always annoyed me. To bad she forgot to stay mad in the throes of passion. AH well....this is a dominance game. "
— khryseda, 1/19/2014" I'm loving the Walker/Fiona relationship :) "
— Francesca, 9/28/2013" Love the book... re-read over and over to meet or renew memories of fun characters... "
— Nicki, 9/24/2013" Fiona was awesome. Got a intro to one of my fav characters! Tobias and Fiona were a great duo. The fight scenes were very cool. My favorite part was the love equals power aspect. I loved Fiona's side kicks. I liked the book. I knew who the "bad guy" was way too early but it was still a good read. "
— Kristin, 2/27/2013" Another good story in The Others series. This series is one of those easy to read solidly good series for me. I enjoy it, but am not over the top about it. "

— Anna, 3/4/2011" Can not say enough about this series! Awesome! "
— Eve, 1/9/2011" Disappointing. This was a book that I purchased as part of a series, and I skipped over more than I read. I cared more about the secondary characters than I did our hero and heroine. It had promise, but it never really developed. "
— Jenn, 9/28/2010" Another captivating installment in the others series by christine Warren. "
— Jodz, 9/9/2010" I think this one had the most exciting story, beyond the romance. Very cute too! Loved the introduction to Rule! I have totally read these out of sequence, it really didn't matter.

"
— Lolita, 9/1/2010" Love the book... re-read over and over to meet or renew memories of fun characters... "
