#1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts cordially invites you to meet childhood friends Parker, Emma, Laurel, and Mac — the founders of Vows, one of Connecticut’s premier wedding planning companies. Laurel McBane has always relied on her friends for support, especially when her dream of attending culinary school was almost ruined by her parents’ financial problems. Now Laurel is repaying the kindness of her friends by creating extravagantly luscious tiers of cakes and other confectionary delights that add the perfect touch to their clients’ weddings. As for romance, Laurel believes in it — in theory. But she’s too low-key to appreciate all the luxuries that other women seem to long for. What she does appreciate is a strong, intelligent man, a man just like Parker’s older brother, Delaney Brown, on whom Laurel has had a mega crush since childhood. But some infatuations last longer than others, and Laurel is convinced that the Ivy League lawyer is still out of her reach. Plus, Del is too protective of Laurel to ever cross the line with her, or so she thinks. When Laurel’s quick- silver moods get the better of her — leading to an angry, hot, altogether mind-blowing kiss with Del — she’ll have to quiet the doubts in her mind to turn a moment of passion into forever…

"While I have enjoyed all of the books in this series so far, I've realized they all have the same formula. Girl and guy realize they like each other, girl and guy start dating, some conflict arises ultimately resulting in a proposal. I find it all very sweet but also very storybook. They're good reads and I enjoy them, especially after a long day. These are great books to read while winding down. However, they remind me of chick flick movies. They all start out the same and end the same way. There's really no suspense or twists. If you like adventure and thrills, these books probably aren't for you. If you like sappy romance, however, then these are up your alley."

" Listen to this book and was actually very entertained. I liked this character alot! "
— Mia, 2/19/2014" Great to see the story continue but I just didn't fall in love with the characters. I enjoy her writing and usually find a great read with her, but this story just didn't have the adversity and angst that I like to read in a romance. The story seemed too everyday. Oh and I find hat she is making Carter into a character/stereotype of a geek, which isn't ringing true to me. "
— Kirstin, 2/8/2014" Not a bad story,read better of hers.Characters good but didn't need sex scenes,put me off! "
— Sandy, 2/5/2014" This story baked with romance and what a wonderful proposal scene. Now I am so anxious for Parker's story to be released. "

— Carolyn, 1/30/2014" Laurel's story is a nice addition to the quartet. The overall story of Vows also flows on - it is fun to see characters from previous weddings and to see new events take place. "
— Marissa, 1/16/2014" Another audio listen. This was Del and Laurel's story. Can't wait for the last one in the series to come out. "
— Cathy, 1/9/2014" I find myself trying not to gag on the syrupy sweetness of these books. My mother thought I would enjoy them since I am in the midst of planning my sister's wedding. And I do love the wedding planning aspect of the quartet but I could easily live without the "perfect" romance. "
— Xochitl, 11/8/2013" Simply not as good as the first two in series. Disappointed. "

— Margaret, 2/20/2012" Such a nice happy book. "
