Carl Strople was covertly recruited to Black Ops and given the most brutal kind of training any man or woman could endure. Now he belongs to The X Group. But why do they call him “Saint”?
An assassin. The most effective killer in the world. And yet . . . Carl Strople struggles to retain fleeting memories that betray an even more ominous reality. He's been told part of the truth--but not all of it.
Invasive techniques have stripped him of his identity and made him someone new--for this he is grateful. But there are some things they can't take from him. The love of a woman, unbroken loyalties to his past, the need for survival.
From the deep woods of Hungary to the streets of New York, Saint takes you on a journey of betrayal in a world of government cover-ups, political intrigue, and one man's search for the truth. In the end, that truth will be his undoing.
The Bookshelf Reviews, which gave this novel from Ted Dekker 5 out of 5 stars, stated, “Saint reads like The Bourne Identity [Robert Ludlum] meets The Matrix meets Mr. Murder [Dean Koontz].”

"This is a Christian book with religious themes, and I'm not Christian and am not into most non-Biblical Christian stories, but I found myself enjoying this one. I bought it for our Islamic school library; a few students picked them up and couple enjoyed them so much that they read the whole series in a schoolweek. These were high school students who had never seemed to enjoy independent reading, so I was elated to witness their interest."

" 4 1/2 probably. Some of the stuff got a little too star wars/ x-men for this kind of book. I guess it was just unexpected coming from Ted Dekker and it added a lot of cheese. otherwise I liked this one better than showdown. "
— Denise, 2/17/2014" Violent but the lead is an assassin so that's to be expected. Very twisted ending! "

— Michelle, 1/14/2014" it was an AMAZING book.i couldn't put it down, its even better than the first one. "
— Tisa, 1/10/2014" The ending could have/should have been more than just a rock fight between good and evil! Such great assassins and they end it throwing rocks? Disappointing in that regard, but other than that, it was great! So Samuel speaks truth and Johnny sees it. I wonder who is supposed to HEAR truth. Maybe the "sinner." :o) "
— Dena, 1/1/2014" Great read for those who like a little spiritual, little fantasy, little government conspiracy. My son, got me to read this series. Was well worth the read. A little surreal! "

— Vicky, 11/24/2013" Reminds me of a Christian version of The Bourne Identity "
— Elizabeth, 11/16/2013" Audio Recording. It was a pretty good book. I really with they had told me about project showdown. I later learned that it was a book in a trilogy. Overall it was pretty good. The climax at the end was a little disappointing but I was entertained thr "
