"Wow! Never easy to read but these Bourne books really keep you on your toes! I go really, really slowly because I like to try to catch absolutely EVERYTHING! "
— Melissa (4 out of 5 stars)
“Jeremy Davidson conveys the mayhem that is the Bourne novels’ trademark. His mastery of accents helps keep the many characters differentiated and propels the complicated plot…You can just see Matt Damon saving the day.”
— AudioFile" Don't like the narration or that you can't turn down the music during playback and it is very distracting, the story is good however otherwise I would have stopped listening "
— Calibre, 4/7/2024" Due to the incredibly rank language I stopped listening after 10 hours. I was very interested in the story line but couldn't take the F-bombs anymore. Where is the rating system for books that warn against this kind of content. I do not buy many books because of this concern. Just and "L" for language would be appreciated. "
— Sharon, 7/11/2017" LIKE ALL OF THE BOURNE BOOKS IT IS FAST AND EXCITING "
— Michael, 4/15/2017" An entertaining audiobook for the car, especially since the narrator uses a lot of different voices. Some descriptions made us laugh (e.g. Lender's "beefy ass"), but we definitely got sucked into the plot and finished it. "
— RH, 2/15/2014" It has been a long time since a read a Bourne novel. If you like Jason Bourne books this is a good one. Action packed and full of surprises. "
— Amy, 2/6/2014" Good thriller. Started a little slow but finished fast paced. "
— Tal, 2/5/2014" Eric Van Lustbader fails to match up to Robert Ludlum's original.REsult is a disappointing novel for Jason Bourne enthusiasts. "
— Jyotirmay, 1/16/2014" It's never a good idea to read (or in my case listen to) the 5th book in a series when you haven't read the first four. I have seen the movies based on the books thus far, but that really isn't the same. So I was not up to speed with some elements of the story. Also, it is a very long book and so for a third of the way through it I really considered quitting. Then things got really interesting and I ended up enjoying the rest of the book in spite of the fact that (as in most stories and especially movies of this sort) the hero and main villains should have been dead at least 20 times before the end. "
— Bonnie, 1/8/2014" Another great character in the series: Lindros "
— Eva, 1/4/2014" OMG! Double-bleh! "
— taarak, 1/3/2014" Read via book on cd. Reader was excellent. Entertaining story. "
— TAMI, 12/18/2013" Typical Bourne. Great for a mindless schools out read. "
— Dsalsbury, 12/13/2013" Unbelievable how people are supposed to survive bullets and injuries and still be expert fighters. A bit of a parody. "
— John, 12/5/2013" I have seen the previous 3 Bourne movies but have not read any of the other books. It has a tremendous amount of killing and inflicting injury and pain! However it was suspenseful and comes up with many surprises. "
— Esther, 11/7/2013" Loved it!! Action packed just like the movies, awesome!! "
— Lindasueanne, 10/12/2013" I liked it, typical Bourne, but I like that. "
— Kristine, 10/10/2013" This was a fun read, but I have to say that the writers who are "finishing" Ludlum's work are definitely not Ludlum. "
— Heather, 10/10/2013" Junk. Don't ever buy a ghostwritten version of airport quality fiction. It just doesn't work. "
— James, 8/22/2013" This was a fun vacation read! It's got lots of action and is an excellent part of the Bourne series. "
— Terry, 6/25/2013" not as good an author as Robert ludlum "
— Stephen, 4/17/2013" Read when first came out. Want to re-read after I finish Bourne Legacy. "
— Janice, 3/8/2013" So far, it's no Ludlum! "
— Ken, 11/16/2012" The character did things that just didn't seem to fit the character that was created and developed by Mr. Ludlum. I still read the whole thing, though. "
— Amy, 7/30/2012" Good book--had to suspend the information from the first three books and his age and such though. "
— Trevor, 7/24/2012" I enjoyed the book thouroughly. More up-to-date issues than the original series. Fits right in with the movies (quite good). "
— Jon, 12/30/2011" Quite an exciting book with many twists and turns. Just not sure if I agree with the way Lustbader has erased every character from the Ludlum books. "
— Rudy, 11/23/2011" A light read - perfect for the beach. "
— Freelin, 4/19/2011" Full of suspense. It's very entertaining and a fast read. "
— Yun, 2/28/2011" It was quite boring at first...but then it gets quite interesting. I would say the previous series were much better "
— Don, 2/4/2011" slo prevod: Bournova izdaja
Vse do konca zelo napeto. "
— Igor, 1/23/2011" Not true Robert Ludlum Bourne but a close second. Fun and engaging for spy novel lovers. "
— Maryjo, 1/3/2011" The second in this new Bourne Series by Eric Van Lustbader. Again a good read if you are a Jason Bourne fan. "
— Larry, 10/15/2010" my favorite of the later books. "
— Erika, 9/28/2010" A light read - perfect for the beach. "
— Freelin, 9/27/2010" Excellent. You'd never know it wasn't Ludlum writing this story. "
— Kathy, 9/6/2010" Dear Eric Van Lustbader:

Please leave the Bourne series alone.

Respectfully,
T. "
— T., 8/22/2010" I kept hoping it would get better. No such luck. "
— Ryan, 8/13/2010" intriguing and compelling to read but some elements are lacking from the original bourne series.... "
