Fifteen-year-old Reed Brennan wins a scholarship to Easton Academy—the golden ticket away from her pill-popping mother and run-of-the-mill suburban life. But when she arrives on the beautiful, tradition-steeped campus of Easton, everyone is just a bit more sophisticated, a bit more gorgeous, and a lot wealthier than she ever thought possible. Reed realizes that even though she has been accepted to Easton, Easton has not accepted her. She feels like she's on the outside, looking in.
Until she meets the Billings Girls.
They are the most beautiful, intelligent, and intensely confident girls on campus. And they know it. They hold all the power in a world where power is fleeting but means everything. Reed vows to do whatever it takes to be accepted into their inner circle.
Reed uses every part of herself—the good, the bad, and the beautiful—to get closer to the Billings Girls. She quickly discovers that inside their secret parties and mountains of attitude, hanging in their designer clothing–packed closets the Billings Girls have skeletons. And they'll do anything to keep their secrets private.

"Addicted from the very first book! One of the best series I have ever read. It begins with minimal drama and comes across as an easy going teenage series but progresses into a mix of pretty little liars teenage issue and desperate housewives level dramas. Always puts me on edge but calms me down with delightful romances that make me fall in love with the characters themselves."
— Coral (5 out of 5 stars)
The characters are addictive and Campbell's telling makes it even more fun.
— School Library Journal Audio Review" I kinda hate myself for liking this one. And I'm going to hate myself even more when I continue reading the series. "
— Suede, 2/15/2014" The main character was cliche and shallow the book itself was pretty predictable. This book may be someone else's cup of tea but I didn't enjoy it "
— Mikaylah, 2/11/2014" AMAZING - Love this series! "
— Anna, 2/10/2014" Plot can get a little outrageous at times, but a scandal is a scandal. "
— Diandra, 1/23/2014" Hmmmm. Interesting. It was pretty much just an opener for the series, I think. But I liked it. So I'll probably read the other books at some point! "
— Seth, 1/13/2014" I wrote a paper book report already! "
— Yasmina, 1/10/2014" I thought I wasn't going to like this book, but turns out, it is one of my favorite series. "
— Wynonna, 1/6/2014" I have heard some recommendations about this books from some friends of mine (Go Jenna) and she is gonna let me borrow them. So here goes nothing exploring the great unknown of drama! "
— Jeremy, 1/4/2014" I thought it was brilliant. The plot was smart and it's not your traditional snotty popular girl boarding school crap. "
— Jaynie, 12/26/2013" This book, although a little exaggerated at times was thoroughly entertaining and intriguing. It was a pretty easy read but it ends with a cliffhanger! Maybe I'll start reading the series... "
— Glenna, 10/3/2013" this book is so good. seriously, go to borders and buy this book. right now. i waiting. and, while your at it, you should really just go ahead and buy the whole series. its all amazing! "
— Tenny, 9/23/2013" I read this book and even though it was pointless and about a bunch of prissy girls, i still read the rest of the series! "
— Becca, 7/13/2013" Great book easy read. It was better than I excepted and I couldn't put it down "
— Lauren, 10/22/2012" Yes, this is ya fluff - but I love ya fluff!!! This has all the elements for a lazy, winter, Sunday morning read - girl who doesn't fit in, ritzy boarding school, mysterious clique... I'll be continuing on with this series. "
— Sharkcrow, 10/1/2012" this book is sooo good i have read all the series one u start reading it u cant stop "
— Jasminemonday, 3/18/2012" Really its like a 4.5 but i really liked it!!! "
— Jazmine, 1/28/2012" This was a fast read. It's not a life-changing book or anything, but it's definitely got a lot of elements I love. There's mystery, a great protagonist I can relate to. Plus, I like books about private school. Don't ask me why. They're just fun! "
— Sarra, 1/14/2012" I thought this book was really good! A lot of people did not like it but not me! I am glad I tried it out. "
— Carolyn, 11/28/2011" This is an amazing series and i suggest it to anyone! "
— Emily, 10/24/2011" This is probably one of the best books I've ever read. The book really makes you feel that it's happening in your own school or to your own friends. When you think things are finally in order, something new is about to happen. Still, I think the story is credible. "
— Elise, 9/9/2011" Fast read...I look forward to the next book in the series... "
— Heather, 6/7/2011" Didn't think I'd like this, but a friend recommended it to me and I had to finish up the series! "
— Mickey, 6/2/2011" Love the plot! Mysterious, mixed in with awesome suspense of if, if the girls are witches (or will be) or not! Makes me regret I never read the private books before! ;) "
— ?Stephanie, 4/7/2011" This series is getting a little silly but it is still a fun read. Reed convinces everyone that they are a coven of witches. They then have people start disappearing from their circle of friends and she is having dreams that they are dead... "
— Danie, 3/30/2011" The best private book I've read in a while! Can't wait for the next one :) "
— Lily, 3/27/2011" I liked it, it just seemed like it had the same plot and storyline as the previous books. "
— Sydney, 3/18/2011" oh my holy crap. i have no words. no. words. "
— Elizabeth, 3/13/2011" thrilling read and a cliffhanger ending leaves you with questions and longing for the next one<br/>:) "
— Husna, 3/11/2011" What.a.complete.waste.of.time. Enough said. The only reason I finished was because I was waiting for the punchline. The "just kidding." I'm sad to say it never came. "
