New York Times Bestselling Series
“Few fans of the best-selling Septimus Heap series will be disappointed.” —ALA Booklist
“Readers will be indubitably hooked—worrying, laughing, and gasping over the nonstop adventures of this engaging troupe.” —VOYA (Starred Review)
When Silas Heap unSeals a forgotten room in the Palace, he releases the ghost of a Queen who lived five hundred years earlier. Queen Etheldredda is as awful in death as she was in life, and she's still up to no good. Her diabolical plan to give herself everlasting life requires Jenna's compliance, Septimus's disappearance, and the talents of her son, Marcellus Pye, a famous Alchemist and Physician. And if Queen Etheldredda's plot involves Jenna and Septimus, then it will surely involve Nicko, Alther Mella, Marcia Overstrand, Beetle, Stanley, Sarah, Silas, Spit Fyre, Aunt Zelda, and all of the other wacky, wonderful characters that made Magyk and Flyte so memorable.
With heart-stopping action and a dash of humor, Angie Sage continues the fantastical journey of Septimus Heap.

"I have nothing to say that can describe how much I love the Septimus Heap series, all I can say is if you read the books before this (and you better have, who reads the third book in a series first?) then you definitely need to read Physik. If you read the first two books and didn't really like it, well I still think you should give it a shot. You never know, maybe you'll suddenly start liking the series halfway through, that's happened to me a couple times."

“Readers will quickly warm up to the stars of the book, sketched with liberal doses of humor, and all back in top form. Chapters alternate points of view, keeping suspense high, while lots of vivid details portray a palace life humming with Magyk. Fans of the series will enjoy the secrets that are revealed as Physik delves deeper into the labyrinthine palace walls and will eagerly await the next installment.”
— School Library Journal“Readers [will] savor the quirky storytelling, marked by a sprawling, omniscient purview and plenty of entertaining tangents. With entries as strong as this one, Sage’s efforts will continue to stand strong within the crowded young-wizard niche.”
— Booklist“Angie Sage is an expert craftsman; she has created a believable fantasy world peopled with colorful characters and rich with adventure. She navigates, without a slip, the complicated task of writing time travel into her plot and once again delivers a most compelling and satisfying story.”
— Children’s Literature“Readers will be indubitably hooked—worrying, laughing, and gasping over the nonstop adventures of this engaging troupe.”
— VOYA" Lots of storylines going on at once with their own twists and turns. Very good book. You got to love spit fyre "
— Pamela, 2/17/2014" Definitely the best of the 3 so far. These are fun, easy reads that quickly grow on you! "
— Lianne, 2/15/2014" So far I found this story to be the slowest beginning. I was 2/3 of the way in before I felt the set up really finished. Good ending saved the star review. I'll probably take a bit of a break before I read the next one. "
— Carrie, 2/7/2014" My favorite one so far "
— Jenn, 1/28/2014" This book definetly isn't my favorite in the series because Septemus may get to be an alchemist i liked the other books more. "
— Hanna, 1/22/2014" So far just really enjoying this series. It's magical and fun. I like the characters and I think it's perfect for older kids and teenagers! "

— Mirm, 1/2/2014" This may be my favorite of the series. "
— Erica, 12/23/2013" Not my favorite of the series...this one was hard for me to follow--I kept having to go back and re-read parts of the book to understand what was going on. Plus, trying to follow the conversations that took place 500 years ago was difficult as well. I hope the 4th one is better :) "
— Kyla, 12/23/2013" dragon, panther & time travel, what more could you ask for? :D :D :D "
— Bianca, 11/29/2013" Good. Period. No more said. "
— Brenna, 8/29/2013" Wow!! That was quite different from the others.....lot of things happen at once, but of course, Angie Sage has done it again!!! :D "
— Angelica, 4/15/2013" I loved this book even more than the first two due to the simple fact that it had a slight bit more reality. Not that I din't like the first two. A definite must read if you read the series. "
— Bryce, 11/19/2012" I love this series! It keeps getting better. I listened to this book in the car and I would hate to leave the car. the narrator did an excellent job. "
— Ang, 10/9/2012" As usual the book delivered well. Enjoyed the epilogue as well. Looking forward to reading the next installment. "
— Sidra, 9/28/2012" 3rd book in the Magyk series. Really good. Interesting though. "
— Minty, 6/2/2012" I think this was the most interesting but also the most confusing as they traveled back in time. "
— Gigi, 4/14/2012" This is a pretty awesome book especially when they go back in time with the dragon and the panther. "
— The, 2/18/2012" First one I read, had to get the whole series "
— Jackie, 12/7/2011" i loved this book its one of my favorits "
— Roman, 11/9/2011" a lot better that the second one "
— Ahmed, 6/25/2011" Great book even if it isn't as good as other books. Was a bit slow at times, but it always picked back up. "
— Sally, 6/20/2011" AS the series continues, the story gets deeper and more attractive, the same applies here. The complexity of a one Marcellus Pye is also intresting. "
— Arman, 6/18/2011" I give this book a strong 4, the story was nail biting, and intense. It left me hanging concerning the dragon boat. I hope the story picks up with Jenna remembering what she has in her pocket. So far this book is my favorite. "
— Brownie, 6/14/2011" I liked this book, but it wasn't the best in the Septimus Heap series! I did like it tho! It was just kinda confusing in some parts. "
— Eliana, 5/24/2011" Have a couple of really in depth books I'm in need of some lighter reading - so I'm onto book 3 of the septimus heap books. Such a good and easy read. "
— Cherry, 5/18/2011" I like the whole Heap family, but Septimus is my favorite. "
— Julie, 5/8/2011" I don't like this book as much as the other Septimus Heap books. I don't like the story that they got trapped in another time. And as for the "accent" of Marcellus Pye and Princess Esmeralda - it gave me the head ache! I can't understand them. :))) "
— Hikari, 5/1/2011" In this book, Septimus is aligned with a side of himself that he has only met once before. But he does not become acquainted with this skill willingly. It is the kidnapping done by Marcellus Pye, that does it. "
— Austin, 4/27/2011" I love these books. This one is filled with magic, adventure, humor, time travel, and fascinating characters. Angie Sage always delivers a wonderful story equally captivating for children and adults who love children's literature. "
— Diane, 4/23/2011" Every time I sit down with this series I am whisked away to another world. I love the escape and the stories are totally unprecitable. Love it! "
— Trisha, 4/20/2011" All of the Septimus Heap books are wonderful, of course I love fantasy. Who wants to live in the real world when you can live in a fantasy world? LOL "
