About Dorothy Gilman

Dorothy Gilman (1923–2012) is the author of the Mrs. Pollifax series, which began with The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax. In 2010 Gilman was awarded the annual Grand Master by the Mystery Writers of America

About the Narrators

Buck Schirner’s professional career has primarily been on stage as a character actor. He is currently active in the theater scene in Philadelphia. Buck also appears in the independent film In the Woods.

Dick Hill, named a Golden Voice by AudioFile magazine, is one of the most awarded narrators in the business, having earned several Audie Awards and thirty-four AudioFile Earphones Awards. In addition to narrating, he has both acted in and written for the theater. 

J. Charles has narrated nearly one hundred audio books throughout his career. His readings include numerous titles by bestselling authors Dean Koontz, Tom Clancy, and Jack Du Brul.

Laural Merlington is an audiobook narrator with over two hundred titles to her credit and a winner of multiple Earphones Awards. An Audie Award nominee, she has also directed over one hundred audiobooks. She has performed and directed for thirty years in theaters throughout the country. In addition to her extensive theater and voice-over work, she teaches college in her home state of Michigan.

Michael Page has been recording audiobooks since 1984 and has over two hundred titles to his credit. He has won numerous Earphones Awards and the prestigious Audie Award for best narration. As a professional actor, he has performed regularly since 1998 with the Peterborough Players in Peterborough, New Hampshire. He is a professor of theater at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Ruth Bloomquist is an award-winning singer-songwriter. She and her husband, Max, having been making music together since 1975.

Andrew Finn McGill is an audiobook narrator who specializes in children’s books.
