Publisher Description

Clay Bennett is a powerful DarkRiver sentinel, but he grew up in the slums with his human mother, never knowing his changeling father. As a young boy without the bonds of Pack, he tried to stifle his animal nature. He failed...and committed the most extreme act of violence, killing a man and losing his best friend, Talin, in the bloody aftermath. Everything good in him died the day he was told that she, too, was dead.

Talin McKade barely survived a childhood drenched in bloodshed and terror. Now a new nightmare is stalking her life—the street children she works to protect are disappearing and turning up dead. Determined to keep them safe, she unlocks the darkest secret in her heart and returns to ask the help of the strongest man she knows...

Clay lost Talin once. He will not let her go again, his hunger to possess her, a clawing need born of the leopard within. As they race to save the innocent, Clay and Talin must face the violent truths of their past...or lose everything that ever mattered.

"Of course Ms. Singh writes another amazing book in the Psy/Changling series. It's not like I'm really surprised because she is an increadible writer and has created this great world filled with hot, sexy men, fierce women, and beyond creative storylines. Talin and Clay's history pull you in from the beginning. You feel the bond that was always there and the pain, the possessiveness, and the emotional pull of them finding each other all over again. I really like the fact that this book also set you up for Dorian's story, because I have really been looking forward to his."

" This has been the best book in the series and honestly, that isn't saying much. I don't get all the hype over this series. Its just an "ok" series. There isn't a "hero" - each book focuses on different characters, there isn't much drama, no suspense, nothing to make you just HAVE to keep reading etc. Its just an average series that is mildly interesting to see how the minds work or how other "species" cross mate with each other. I honestly could put this series down and never think twice about picking it back up. I guess I keep reading HOPING that it will pick up. "

" Well I'm really getting hooked on this series. I'm enjoying the world, the building war, the dynamic of all the different races. I'm very curious as to how this whole thing will play out and what kind of balance they will be able to find for the Psy. This was another good romance with the expected happy ending. I loved Clay and his dark broodiness it was nice to get a back story to how he ended up as he was. I started off loving the whole set up and ready to be understandable to whatever conflict these two had in the past. In the beginning I still was regardless of the bad decisions. But I'll be honest as the book went on I just found myself unimpressed with Talin. In the end my overall conclusion was she was self centered and needy while she did everything in her power to push Clay away. There were a couple of times I actually wished Clay would send her on her way. She came around in the end, but for me it was just to little to late. I don't know how Clay put up with it. "
