"Okay Nalini Singh can't write a bad book so yes I did enjoy this one. But... it wasn't up to her usual par. I wasn't as invested in the two main characters. Sometimes, I was more interested in the side stories about the children than the main story. Give her credit I did actually start to believe the HEA wasn't going to happen. And come on- it's a romance- the formula is set from page one. In a romance- it's not the end of the story- the HEA- but the journey- the how you get there. The first sex scene had some mild bondage in it which didn't work for me. And while Nalini Singh usually does great sexual tension building up to the scene which always occurs around page 200... I just didn't feel the sexual tension as much in this one. At the end rather than rooting for one character- I kept hearing myself shout- DIE ALREADY! JUST DIE- ugh the death scene goes on and on and then... PYSCHE!!! I'm thinking what a rip- after all that, I deserve a death.."

" How could I not read a book where the main character was Devraj Santos? It was pretty good. I like Nalini Singh and this one was standard fare. A really good paranormal romance. I'm surprised how she can keep coming up with fresh things after she's had about 10 or so books under her belt in this series. Impressive. And I'll be waiting for the next one. "

" meh...I was underwhelmed. Dev's possessive behavior came off as annoying to me instead of sexy. But so far of the whole series, only this one and Dorian's didn't really work for me, and as a whole I really enjoy the series. I think it's just hard to relate to a character outside the ones we know and love from the cats & wolves. Still looking forward to book 8 this summer :) "

" 5 stars. I thoroughly enjoyed this latest installment in the Psy/changlings series. Singh is one of a just a handful of authors that can write great romance coupled with extraordinary urban fantasy. JR Ward does it well, but after reading Blaze of Memory, I think Singh is truly at the top of the game. Blaze of Memory spends more time delving further into the brewing war between the changlings, Psy, and the newest player, the Forgotten. What was especially notable (and nice) was a reappareance by several notable characters from past installments. Lucas and fan favorite Judd showed up several times in this story and their presence did nothing to detract from the protagonists, Katya and Dev growing love affair. Well done. I am anxiously awaiting the next one. "

" Disappointed doesn't even begin to cover it. I miss my changelings! I hate the lead characters in this installment and the romance is not believable. I was actually wanting Katya to die so the torture of this story would end! "

" OK, I admit it, the series is growing on me. Only now I'm more interested in how the kids turn out than what's going on now! And she made me cry. Not fair - not hard, but not fair at all. "
