Publisher Description

Max Shannon is a good cop, one of the best in New York Enforcement. Born with a natural shield that protects him against Psy mental invasions, he knows he has little chance of advancement within the Psy-dominated power structure. The last case he expects to be assigned is that of a murderer targeting a Psy Councilor's closest advisors. And the last woman he expects to compel him in the most sensual of ways is a Psy on the verge of catastrophic mental fracture.

"I really enjoyed this one... Max intrigued me with his 1st appearance in Mine to Possess so I was looking forward to his story. I wasn't as big a fan of the romance in this particular book, but the moving forward of the overall arc of the series helped make it a solidly enjoyable read."

" One thing for sure, Psy and human relationship are all quite dramatic and emotionally taxing. But another great story which also make us advance within the master plot. Can t wait to get all the answers. "

" Actually, of the paranormal romance category, I liked this a lot. The plot interested me. And I enjoyed almost all the characters. The romances in these books all seem similar, and the sex is exactly the same, but the wooing of a J-psy was unique. "

" At first wasn't sure ifI was going to like this one, but by the end I did. Maybe because this was the first full-length psy-changleing I read and was a little confused at first. "

" This one was not as good as the other books in the series. I found myself picking it up and putting it down a lot. There wasn't really much to keep me invested in it. It was still a great book though, but wasn't as wonderful as the rest of the series. "

" Loved Max and Sophia. This was a very different story then most because of Max being human but I loved the way it turned out. I was guessing the entire book and this series is one of the few that is wonderfully unpredictable. Can't wait for Drew and Indigo's book :) "

" While I love the world Nalini has created and I do not mind Max, I do not love this book as much as most of the others. This would not be a good intro into the series. "
