" Okayish. This is just a light and fluffy romance novel in which improbable things happen but you just sort of don't mind if you are able to suspend your disbelief. It's one of Kleypas's "older" (lol at 1995 being older but romance novels have changed a lot since then) novels so its quite different from what she's cranking out now. In any case, everyone thinks Anastasia Kaptereva has killed her fiance Prince Mikhail Angelovsky so she is forced to escape St. Petersburg and flee to England where she obtains the position as governess to Emma Stokehurst, the 12-year-old daughter of Lord Lucas Stokehurst. She's running from her past, Lucas is trying to forget his. Of course her past catches up with her and we are transported back to Russia, then back to England again. But guess what happens at the end????? Of course! In any case, I had read the sequel about Emma - Prince of Dreams - before and enjoyed it so it was interesting to get the background on everyone I had met before. "
