Jack Ryan Jr.—along with the covert warriors of the Campus—continues to uphold his legendary father’s legacy of courage and honor in this thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author Tom Clancy.
Privately training with special forces, he’s honing his combat skills to continue his work within the Campus, hunting down and eliminating terrorists wherever he can—even as Jack Ryan Sr. campaigns to become President of the United States again.
But what neither father nor son knows is that the political and personal have just become equally dangerous. A devout enemy of Jack Sr. launches a privately-funded vendetta to discredit him and connect him to a mysterious killing in his longtime ally John Clark’s past. All they have to do is catch him.
With Clark on the run, it’s up to Jack Jr. to stop a growing threat emerging in the Middle East, where a corrupt Pakistani general has entered into a deadly pact with a fanatical terrorist to procure four nuclear warheads they can use to blackmail any world power into submission—or face annihilation.

"This was the first Clancy book I ever finished. I think Locked On was easier than most because of co-author Mark Greaney. Clancy didn't seem to shove all the military jargon down our throats like in most of his books. The only thing I disliked was the 10 or so extra plot lines going at the same time."

" always love the build up of Clancy books "
— Nathan, 2/17/2014" Fast paced and action packed. Character development is slightly lacking, but the story is interesting. "
— Karen, 2/7/2014" Liked it better than Against All Enemies but I'm tired of Russians being bad guys. "
— Karly, 1/20/2014" Really a great one in the Jack Ryan series! "
— Jean, 1/16/2014" I have read every book to this point in the "Jack Ryan Series" and wish I would have stopped at "The Bear and the Dragon." Since that novel, Clancy has relied too much on his coauthors and the stories have been watered down, the characters lacking depth, and his suspense is predictable. If I could advise anyone thinking about reading "Locked On" who admired Clancy's core work, don't read it and damage your admiration of Clancy, the "Jack Ryan" story, and the characters you enjoyed in earlier books. "
— Dan, 1/15/2014" Finally...Real "Clancy" writing again. "
— Rob, 1/15/2014" I stopped about halfway through. I used to be a huge fan of Tom Clancy and still love his older work in the Jack Ryan series (and still reread Red Storm Rising on a regular basis) but all I could think while reading this was, "predictable, predictable". It takes a lot for me not to finish a book, especially this far into it, but I just couldn't do it with this one. "
— Steve, 1/7/2014" Clancy does it again. Not only fast paced but he shows his opinions about our current administration with his President Kealty character. He pulls no punches when he describes his fictional administration as a bunch of idiots. Sounds eerily similar to the idiotic policies we have in place right now. "
— Mark, 1/6/2014" As Reagan said of Clancy - 'a good yarn'!! Enough to keep me entertained for a while. "
— Terence, 1/1/2014" This book kept my interest right up til the end. Great ending, left a smile on my face! "
— Gayle, 12/25/2013" I enjoy Tom Clancy thrillers. The book had a "with Mark Greaney" credit. Sometimes I thought it may have actually been "with Rush Limbaugh." Sometimes the liberals are evil/corrupt while conservatives are good/pure comes off as comical. Jack Ryan's new gi "
— Mainrun, 12/17/2013" If it wasn't for the teeth of the tiger I would say this is the worst book Tom Clancy ever wrote. "
— Christian, 12/2/2013" Started on Friday, finished on Tuesday.....when is the next book coming out? "
— Tom, 11/16/2013" Not sure why, but had a hard time getting into it and staying in it. Too many stories going on. "
— Lori, 11/4/2013" On the whole an enjoyable work of fiction something to wet your imagination but a little slow in parts sometimes a little too much detail for a story. Enjoued it though and would reccomend it but not 1 of Clancy's best. "
— Matt, 9/8/2013" lots of things going on, enjoyable read "
— Jackie, 7/13/2013" My grandparents keep buying these books every Christmas for me. I think they are starting to get very predictable. So predictable, I find myself rooting for the bad guys now. "
— Cameron, 6/17/2013" amazing novel a thrilling read the best one i have read so far. "
— Christopher, 12/28/2012" Good book, not his best work, but worth reading. Cliffhanger at the end, but I was able to start reading the next immediately. "
— Ron, 12/25/2012" Typical Clancy. Engaging and fast paced. It is a long book and you will know the format if you have read many of his books before. Fun read and very politically accurate I think. "
— Boxofgems, 7/27/2012" It's nice to have the gang back together and I think having a co-author actually helps Clancy. "
— Mark, 4/11/2012" I always enjoy Jack Ryan and now Jack Jr. Can't wait for the next book... "
— Chris, 3/30/2012" They're back and saving the world, Clark, Chavez, Caruso, Ryan Jr and the Campus team. And Ryan Sr. is President again. But who is Melanie and who does she report to? I think we are in for another book. I can't wait. "
