The Wheel of Time is now an original series on Prime Video, starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine! In Knife of Dreams, the eleventh novel in Robert Jordan’s #1 New York Times bestselling epic fantasy series, The Wheel of Time®, Tarmon Gai'don, the Last Battle, is upon Rand al'Thor—and now the Dragon Reborn must confront the Dark One as humanity's only hope. The dead are walking, men die impossible deaths, and it seems as though reality itself has become unstable… Abandoning Rand’s war against the Dark One, Perrin Aybara has made his own truce with the Seanchan in his obsessive quest to save his wife Faile from the Shaido and destroy their mutual enemies. To achieve victory, Perrin must render the Shaido Wise One channelers in Malden powerless. But even as he puts his desperate plan into action, Masema Dagar, the Prophet of the Dragon, moves against him. Traveling with circus performers through Seanchan-controlled Altara, Mat Cauthon attempts to court Tuon, the Daughter of the Nine Moons, to complete their fateful prophesized marriage. Despite being surrounded by Seanchan seeking to kill her, Mat’s intended leads him on a merry chase while he wages guerrilla warfare to protect her. Knowing he cannot defeat the Dark One while at war with the Seanchan, Rand brokers for a truce with the Daughter of the Nine Moons. Unaware of Tuon’s actual location, the Dragon Reborn walks into a trap set by the Forsaken Semirhage, who possesses knowledge about his powers that will either shatter or steel his resolve in the forthcoming conflict. Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® by Robert Jordan has captivated millions of readers around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters. "Yay! This book has put this series back on track! After the slow movement of the previous 3 books, things are finally happening! There were some parts that I was on the edge of my seat with anticipation! All the plotlines have moved forward and some actually get resolved. There was even something I suspected several books ago and it was revealed to be true in this one. I'm definitely hopeful for the rest of the series!"

“The penultimate installment in Jordan’s ongoing saga of the Wheel of Time delivers in his usual astounding fashion…With nearly 10,000 pages penned in this ongoing fantasy saga, Jordan’s meticulously built world remains compelling.”
— RT Book Reviews (4 stars)“The eleventh installment in Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, Knife of Dreams, proves to be a fast-paced and entertaining listen...Kate Reading and Michael Kramer once again deliver fine performances.
— SFFaudioIt pairs a gripping dual narration by Kate Reading and Michael Kramer with the equally complex, involving story of walking dead, impossible deaths, and fractured reality. Knife of Dreams comes alive in audio and softens the complexity of the story line with high drama only audio can bring to life.
— Library BookwatchMichael Kramer [narrates] all the segments of the book told from the perspective of male characters, at times with regal elegance, at others with bitterness, anger, or passion, as the situation demands. Kate Reading is equally adept narrating the parts involving the feminine characters and elements.
— AudioFile" This is a pretty solid book. I felt it improved significantly and returned to Jordan's first few books in the series. I had a hard time predicting what would happen next in the plot and the characters were well done. "
— Todd, 2/20/2014" I have never read such a long book where absolutely NOTHING happens. "
— Megan, 2/17/2014" This is probably my favorite book since the early part of the series, probably because a lot of it dealt with Mat, who I find to be the most interesting of the 3. It's sad it's Jordan's last, but has me excited to read the new ones again. "
— Rob, 2/10/2014" This was a good book. It dragged until about halfway through but then it finally got exciting, especially near the end. Now I get to read the new one! "
— Candida, 1/31/2014" So so bad. Skip this book & just read a synopsis. "
— Tatiana, 1/23/2014" Still enjoying the series but it all starts to run together because there are so many books. Hope they make movies. "
— Beth, 1/22/2014" Still slogging through, though this is better than some of his recent books in this never-ending series. I had contemplated trying to start over again from the beginning since I'd forgotten so much, but I refuse to cave in to Robert Jordan's evil schemes. "
— Simon, 1/20/2014" Another epic volume in this series, in which - for a change - a few things do happen. But not enough to fill 800+ pages! "
— Evelyn, 1/20/2014" Great Book! In his last book, Jordan turned the series around going back to the exciting, intense and gripping series that it started out as. "
— Dana, 12/22/2013" Another great one in the Wheel of Time series. "
— Chaffee, 11/1/2013" Pretty good (for the first time in a while) but parts did seem rushed. Granted, it was because he was dying... "
— Chamberk, 9/23/2013" Such a breath of fresh air after the crossroads of twilight, there is much to enjoy here. The resolution of several storylines that seem to have dragged on a bit too long and the setting up of some new ones. Some good twists and even some good humour "
— Michael, 8/10/2013" I liked this one much better than the last couple books. The battle with Rand against the trollocs in the beginning was really cool and there was more bouncing around stories with Mat, Elayne, and Perrin but some of them are more resolved as the book finishes. "
— Dave, 1/31/2013" was expected more action...3 to go "
— Jason, 1/2/2013" I read the first one as a freshman in high school...I couldn't just not finish it once I'd already put something like 10,000 pages of effort into the series. "
— MMG, 11/11/2012" At last, a book in which the plot advances quite a bit. The best I've read since Shadow Rising, book 4. Editors of this series should have taken a stronger stand against all the needless dawdling in previous books. "
— Pranay, 9/2/2012" What to say? It continues the incredible ride Jordan began 10 books ago. As with almost all of them, it's frustrating that it ends, and makes you imaptient for the next one. Can't WAIT to see the return of Moraine... "
— Barbara, 4/8/2012" Read for the Seasonal Reading Challenge Winter 09/10 task 25.3 (b. Weapon: knife & c. Library: personal) "
— Lou, 3/19/2012" Continuing the tale of the young people from the Two Rivers - there were some parts of the book which I felt dragged a bit but some key items are dealt with in this book. "
— Beth, 10/28/2011" This one kept my attention but lagged in places. "
— Keri-Lynn, 10/4/2011" Something happened! Huge step up from the last two books. "
— Stephen, 8/23/2011" A great coming of age book for many of the main characters. "
— Radu, 5/9/2011" The acceleration of events brings a faster plot arc, you can feel the series start a course towards a culmination now "
— Mark, 4/30/2011" Are you kidding me? Something happens in this book? Hell, yeah! "
— Peter, 4/26/2011" This book took me forever to finish. There were so many chapters of filler material...people walking around brooding, etc. My husband says the next book is better. I still like the series but this was definitely not my favorite book. "
— Alesha, 4/20/2011" Reading this books again has shown that my past boredom came not from the detail but from the time between books. "
— Jarrod, 4/20/2011" This is the book where Jordan really start to wrap it up and the story moves on. Loved it! "
— Melissa, 4/1/2011" Starting to pick up in momentum! "
— Linda, 3/24/2011" ROBERT JORDAN ON SPEED HOLY HELL "
— Jonathan, 3/24/2011" Number 11 in the series and apparently the second last. Starts outstandingly and continues well, better than the previous effort anyway. I am continuing to find my enormous self made list of characters useful. "
— Alan, 2/16/2011" I think this was my favorite in the series so far. I LOVED Egwene's plot line! "
— Dorian, 2/15/2011" Somewhere between 3 and 4 stars, favoring slightly 4. The drastic decline of the series wasn't quite so noticeable in this last installment by Jordan. "
