"Invisible Monsters is still high on my list of favorite Palahniuk novels, and this reworked version was a treat. I'm sure there's some new stuff here, and I think there was a fair amount of revision as well, based on my (admittedly potentially faulty) memory of reading the original release several years ago. The story is the same twisted freak show, but there is the added device of having the reader jump around to different chapters instead of following the usual linear structure of chapter one, then chapter two, and so on. I mean, even in the original the story line jumped around between past and present, and I have to admit that at first I wasn't sure how I felt about the chapter surfing, as it seemed like nothing but device and I kept wondering how far I'd gotten with the story, but after a while I found it to add a bit of interest and element of surprise to a story that is already full of surprises. And as usual, Palahniuk goes to great lengths to make the reader consider some of the ridiculousness of our looks-obsessed culture, as well as how far some people will go to get the life they want. Definitely (in my opinion) one of Chuck's best works, and a satisfying new rendition."

" It was good. I'm pretty much over my Palahniuk phase, but I enjoyed the original Invisible Monsters, so why not read this? It's mixed up and there are a few new things, but overall it's not so different from the original. "
— Sarah, 2/8/2014" Remix is more than I imagined it to be. I adore this book, especially the way it was written to be read. I could, and do, read this book over and over. It keeps my attention & gives you a strange sense of feeling a little lost, lost and excited/happy to be there. This will always be a favourite. "
— Lauren, 1/28/2014" The book kept my attention with a strange assortment of characters, such as drug addled drag queens, and several unexpected twists and turns. However, the remix part of the book was a little irritating, such as the mirror image chapters. Thank goodness there werent many. If you want a book with some very strange and dark characters, this it it. "
— Tracey, 12/30/2013" Palahniuk is absolutely one of my favorite authors and this book did not leave me disappointed. He is so good at creating these rollercoaster, twisted, drama, comedy, love'em, hate'em people and stories. I never know what to expect from him or were his narratives will lead, but really love the ride. "
— Rachel, 12/25/2013" Some books you read and you never think about again. Other books seem to keep popping into your head for years to come. This is one of those books for me. It felt so over-the-top it was almost like I dreamed it. "
— Winged_One, 10/17/2013" I hadn't read this one yet, the non-remix, so it was all brand new to me. I did read it in the jumping around manner suggested by the author, which was no big deal. And WOW. Really WOW. So much silly absurdity coupled with hard truth. It was, for me, the perfect read. "
— Tami, 9/23/2013" I'll go so far as to give this book 5 stars. Yes, it was quite good. Palahniuk is an extraordinary writer. "
— Lilly, 9/16/2013" Crazy. Twisted. Shocking end. Makes you think. I love Chuck Palahniuk's books, so if you've enjoyed his others, you'll enjoy this. "
— Erin, 9/4/2013" not one my favorites of his, but extremely original, especially with the jumping around of chapters and even some written backwards, so you had to hold it up to the mirror to read. "
— Laura, 4/11/2013" Great, but if you have already read the book, don't bother. "
— Casey, 12/11/2012" Terrifying. Broken. Honest and beautiful to the point where it becomes absolutely revolting. "
