About Douglas B. Laney

Doug Laney is a vice president and distinguished analyst with Gartner’s Chief Data Officer research and advisory practice. He is an accomplished practitioner and recognized authority on information and analytics strategy, and is a two-time recipient of Gartner’s annual Thought Leadership Award. Doug specializes in data monetization and valuation, open and syndicated data, data governance and big-data based innovation. In 2001 he coined the “3Vs” of volume, velocity, and variety, now commonly used in defining Big Data.

About Timothy Andrés Pabon

Timothy Andrés Pabon is an English- and Spanish-speaking voice-over artist who has worked extensively in advertising and audiobook narration. He has had acting roles on House of Cards and has also been a costar on HBO’s acclaimed series The Wire opposite country music legend Steve Earl.
