"Sequel to the critically acclaimed and universally loved by the fans movie "Heat" from 1995. Crime-movie classic is followed by a crime-novel masterpiece, equally engrossing. While reading you see the actors in their prime wondering how come the sequel did not make it to the screen. The book is ambitious and long, there are several interlinked narrative threads in several timelines, all masterfully summarized in the finale as climactic as the memorable bank heist scene from the movie. Masterpiece, I would love to read more from the duo of Michael Mann, the director and the screen-writer of the original movie and his wrtiting partner, an experienced Meg Gardiner. "
