Best-selling author Tracie Peterson tells a gripping tale of faith, adventure, and love-set amidst the savage beauty of 1915 Alaska. With starvation stalking, Leah welcomes her brother Jacob's dogsled full of supplies. But not until she unwraps the scarf-covered sled driver does she realizes she's been embracing Jacob's friend Jayce-the man who broke her heart a decade ago. Although she insists that Jacob get rid of Jayce immediately, a sudden snow storm and a disabling injury delay his departure.

"I really enjoyed this book. I read it in three days and have already started on the second in the series. I enjoy reading christian fiction and I found this book to be beautifully written. I felt like I was experiencing Leah's life right along with her. I can't wait to read more of Peterson's books!"

— Pam, 1/18/2014" This book was a nice trip to Alaska, but I thought the main charater, Leah, was a bit too whinny for me and there wasn't enough romance for me. There was lots of mystery and excitment, but I got bored because, about two chapter in, I already new who done it. Otherwise, this was a good, but not great, read. "
