" I don't think I have ever read a book by him I didn't like. I love the way he writes and keeps everything in terms and examples that I understand and are real to me. Before I had kids, I used to read one of his books every Easter season. I got away from it and this year I started over again with this book. What a wonderful new way to look at the cross and what Jesus did for you and the gifts he left you. "

" I appreciate Lucado really hammering into the reader (NO pun intended) the grandness of Jesus' death and resurrection. Lucado writes with a voice that is very down-to-earth (again, no pun intended) and easy to understand. "

" This is a great book and I loved the last chapter. It was the first book by Lucado that I read and what I found interesting was that every chapter was almost like a mini-sermon. Definitely offered a great perspective on Christ's act of dying on the cross and how it should apply to our daily lives. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Kathleen Meacham | 1/9/2013

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Mimi Arcala | 11/14/2012

" This book gave a scenario of a troubled relationship between a girl and her father, and related it to the troubled relationship that humans have with God. It helps the reader understand where God is coming from and what God is about and what we (as children of God) have a choice to do. "
