Publisher Description

"Crank. Glass. Ice. Crystal. Whatever you call it, it’s all the same: a monster. And once it’s got hold of you, this monster will never let you go." A sequel to Crank, this harrowing and disturbing look at addiction finds protagonist Kristina Snow thinking she can use drugs yet control the consequences. Now with a baby to care for, she’s determined to be the one deciding when and how much, the one calling the shots. But the monster is too strong and, before she knows it, Kristina is back in its grips. She needs the monster to keep going, to face the pressures of day-to-day life. She will do anything for it, including giving up the only thing that makes her truly happy.

"Glass is the continuing sequel to the book 'Crank'. I found this book a bit strange and depressing, yet fully entertaining at the same time! I love the Ellen Hopkins books, every book has a different situation with different people and you get curious on what might happen this time. The book revolves around Kristina's (Bree) life and her problems and various addictions, which leads her to face lots of problems. For instance, the draws her family further and further away from her, she has not spoken to them in an entire year, and she loses her child because her mother discovers of her bad choices and takes rights over Kristina's child, Hunter. Somehow she always ends up tangled in these sorts of situations and having to face them. Some happy moments occurred but the problems Kristina faces usually deals with drugs and how it causes everything to go downhill for her. I see the book as a lesson of the results of what could happen if you involve drugs in your life, I think Ellen Hopkins is trying to teach this to all of her readers in her books, the effects of teen drinking and common drugs. What I really like about these books is that Ellen Hopkins write such short paragraphs on each page, making it very quick and easy to read even though each book contains at least 650 pages. I recommend this book to everyone, it can teach you a valuable lesson on 'Just saying no' and your life won't end up like Kristina's and how important it is to make good decisions. Overall, I thought it was a very entertaining book!"

" I was slightly disappointed in the conclusion of Crank. I felt that the second book was somewhat repetitive and lacked the emotion of the first novel. However, it was still deeply disturbing and I give it four stars. I can't wait to finish Fallout. "

" This was a great sequal to Crank. I found the story to be very interesting. Thrugh out the story while Kristina struggles with her addiction she faces many challenges like being kicked out of her house, loosing her child, and selling and drugs to the Spanish Mafia. The book was very well writen and i could empathise with Kristina in many situations. i'm very exited to read the next book! If your into dramatic, adn drug books i would deffinately recommend this book. "
