Publisher Description

Bailey Ruth Raeburn has always been great at solving mysteries. Why should a little thing like her death change anything? In fact, being dead gives her more of an opportunity to be on top of events. Bailey Ruth is delighted that her unique position as a ghost makes it possible for her to lend a helping hand, sometimes seen and sometimes not. And if anybody needs a little help, it’s Kathleen, the pastor’s wife. There’s a dead man on her porch, and once the body is discovered, the pastor is sure to become a suspect. Uncharitable people might call it meddling, but Bailey Ruth knows Kathleen needs her help! As a member of Heaven’s Department of Good Intentions, Bailey Ruth goes back to earth to extricate Kathleen from a dire situation. If Bailey Ruth has to bend a few rules to help Kathleen save her family, Wiggins, her fussbudget supervisor, will make sure it all turns out right in the end.

"I loved this one. It's so original and fresh. It is a little more Christian in nature but I didn't mind at all. Bailey Ruth is funny, charming, and has a ton of spunk. I can't wait for the next book in this series."

" Hoping to join the Department of Good Intentions, the ghost of Bailey Ruth Raeburn returns to her Oklahoma hometown to help the pastor's wife solve a pre-Halloween murder mystery. A cozy, humorous whodonit with a paranormal twist. "

" Nice, light read. Bailey Ruth is very engaging, not knowing about modern technology. Worth a read if you need something light. Not easy to determine "who-done-it". "

" I have been a fan of Carolyn Hart's Death on Demand series (if I do grow tired of hearing how hot Max is...). I couldn't take another minute of this book after chapter four. As soon as she'd recall that she shouldn't do something, she'd immediately do it. Then admonish herself for doing it. It was like having a 2-year old as the protagonist. It is hopelessly twee and dull. Skip it. "

" Apparently not as accepted as Carolyn's "Death on Demand Series", I love Bailey Ruth and look forward to the next books. Extremely humorous as she works her mischief from the sky. "

" First in the series. This is very cute and very funny. Wiggins is the person in charge of Bailey and this is her first mission to help someone. It is funny and well written. "

" I am not really as shallow as my choice of books might indicate. I know I keep alluding this to ongoing apology, but...This is the first book in a series about a ghost sent from heaven on a mission to resolve a dilemma (murder) in her old home town. The plot is interesting, but some of the characters, less so. The premise of the ghost on a mission and the description of life in heaven is pure escapism but comforting. "

" This was really a fun and charming little read. It had all the 'who-done-it' appeal of a great mystery but it wasn't scary at all which works out better for me since I usually read at night with my headlamp on while the rest of the world is sleeping. "
