When Bailey Ruth Raeburn passed over into the great beyond, she was delighted to discover her sleuthing days would last an eternity. Joining Heaven's Department of Good Intentions, she uses her unique advantages as a ghost—sometimes you see her, sometimes you don't—to help those in need and ensure the wicked get their just deserts. However, on this latest mission, Bailey Ruth finds it more difficult than ever to keep up with her boss Wiggins's rules for good spirit deportment. Not only is the woman she is supposed to save determined to thwart Bailey Ruth's good intentions at every turn, she just so happens to be one of Bailey Ruth's oldest enemies. Not that that should matter to one of Heaven's best and brightest emissaries, but still, there is only so much a person can put up with—living or dead. But solving Bailey Ruth's toughest case yet means managing a recalcitrant charge, a fraudulent medium, a mother's heartbreak, old passions and new, and a telltale rawhide dog bone. Heaven help her!

"Great book, love Bailey Ruth Raeburn character. Would read the books in order as not to feel lost. Carolyn Hart's other books are worth trying! Easy to read, follow, & lots of surprises."

" A ghost/angel is sent back to earth to help people. "
— Vicky, 2/10/2014" If I were also a ghost, Bailey Ruth Raeburn, 'emissary from Heaven's Department of Good Intentions' is the kind of ghost I'd like to pal around with. She's irrepressible, impulsive, tenacious and determined. She's also funny. I thoroughly enjoy how Bailey Ruth gets herself into one predicament after another and somehow works herself out. She's even vain--a vain ghost? This is the third installment in Bailey Ruth's escapades and I hope to see more. Light-hearted and fun reads, every one. "
— Bobbie, 2/6/2014" This was a very hard read for me. Maybe because my library didn't have books 1&2? I didn't know I was jumping into book 3. I just couldn't get into the book. Felt like their was a lot of writing about nothing. Also I didn't need all the updates on her change of clothing. Just was not at all what I thought I would be reading about. "
— Crystal, 1/28/2014" Didn't finish it. Just really don't like this Bailey Ruth main character. She has nothing to lose, so there's no tension. And I don't care enough about the earthly characters to get invested in them. Don't bother with more of this series. "
— Laura, 1/23/2014" this was a cute story. one of the issues of the who-done-it, was that the clues were so vague that no one would ever figure it out. why the main character/ghost was able to was sort of unrealistic. but it's a story, and it's a ghost, so... it was an easy read. light and fun. i'll probably read another of her books, but only if i want an easy read. "
— Robin, 1/5/2014" This is a fun read. I can't help but love the characters. And the mystery lasts just long enough. "
— Cheri, 12/24/2013" One of three series by this author. Premise is a ghost comes from heaven as an emissary to help those on earth. Series is cute and an easy quick read. "
— Deborah, 12/14/2013" This series is so fun. Just a good light fun read. "
— Sierra, 10/7/2013" Not impressed, couldn't finish it. "
— Heather, 10/4/2013" Once again Hart works her magic. I eagerly look foreward to the next book. "
— Elizabeth, 8/31/2013" Very light, cozy read to help me chill out during family visit during the holidays. I wouldn't read any more of this series or author. "
