"The first time I saw this book, I said that I would hear from someone else if it was worth it. Did folks let me have it. When I decided to give this author (E.J.D.) a chance, I did not know that he would awaken a part of my imagination that had me laugh, get upset, ALMOST shed a tear, and embrace the beautiful complexities of black friendships/relationships. This was the first book of his, that led me to go on and read some of his other works. If you want to have a good time, pick this up and a cup of coffee."

About Eric Jerome Dickey
Eric Jerome Dickey (1961—2021) was the multiaward-winning author of many novels, including eleven of which made the New York Times bestsellers list. He also wrote a six-issue miniseries of graphic novels for Marvel Enterprises, featuring Storm (X-Men) and the Black Panther. He was the 2012 Black Expressions male author of the year.
About the Narrators
Patricia R. Floyd has narrated dozens of audiobooks throughout her career, including Denise Nicholas’ Freshwater Road and Ellease Southerland’s Let the Lion Eat Straw. Balanced with her audiobook work, she has directed several plays at Stamford Theatre Works. She has won five AudioFile Earphones Awards.
Ezra Knight has appeared in Law & Order and many national commercials, including those for Bank of America and Excedrin. He also has extensive stage experience, which earned him a Helen Hayes Award nomination for his role in Rita Dove’s The Darker Face of the Earth.
Kim Staunton is an audiobook narrator and actress known for her performances in Heat, One Life to Live, Changing Lanes, and Law & Order. She is a graduate of the Juilliard School.
