Navy SEAL turned covert operative Scot Harvath is called to action once again in this pulse-pounding political thriller from #1 New York Times and #1 Wall Street Journal bestselling author Brad Thor.
Buried within the black ops budgets of the Department of Defense, a new spy agency has been created. Unfettered by the oversight of self-serving politicians, it reports only to a secret panel of insiders. Its job is to target America’s enemies—both foreign and domestic—under a charter of three simple words: Find, Fix, and Finish.
Recruited as a field operative, Scot Harvath has just returned from his first assignment abroad when a bombing in Rome kills a group of American college students. The evidence points to a dangerous colleague from Harvath’s past and a plan for further attacks on an unimaginable scale.
Harvath is tasked with leveraging his relationship to lure the man out of hiding and kill him on the spot. But what if he has the wrong man?
Simultaneously, a young woman is struck by a taxi in a hit-and-run in Chicago. With only two intoxicated witnesses and over five thousand cabs in the city, the Chicago Police have given up on their investigation. But when the family’s attorney digs deeper, he will uncover a shocking connection to the bombing in Rome and the perpetrators’ plans for America.
As the story rockets to its conclusion, the plots intersect in a race to prevent one of the most audacious and unthinkable acts of terror in the history of mankind.

"This was the first Brad Thor book I've read but it won't be the last. I love the character of Scot Harvath, ex navy seal, so my plan is to go back to the beginning of this character to chart his actions. This book was exciting and scary as the plot evolves around terror cells in Europe and the USA. The scary part is because it is so real and probably happening right now. There were areas that bogged down for me concerning the mechanics of explosive devices but all in all a very exciting read."

“One of the best thriller writers in the business.”
— Ottawa Citizen“Frightening, illuminating, and always entertaining, Thor gives us yet another work of pulse-quickening clarity. If you’re not hyperventilating once you’ve reached the last page, then you weren’t paying attention.”
— BookReporter.com" Had me hooked from Page 1 - so what else is new with Scot Horvath? Love turning the pages, so exciting to devour another one of Thor's terrific novels. The intro to the Athena Project (new book, which I have) is well done and there is just enough of a cliffhanger to make me anxious to read it. "
— Marie, 2/10/2014" While Brad Thor is a great writer, this story is clunky and irritating. There are some excellent plots overshadowed by religion, torture and violence that appears to serve no point but death and destruction. And this is only part 1. Lowest rating to date. 5 of 10 stars "
— Tim, 1/22/2014" I really enjoy these Scot Harvath novels, although the terrorist angle is starting to become a little cliche. "
— Teroll, 1/17/2014" Typical for this genre: a fast read with very little to contemplate when it is over. "
— Archie, 12/19/2013" I loved it! Non-stop action. One of Thor's best ever. Highly recommend. "
— Alicia, 12/11/2013" The good guys race against time to stop terrorist attacks in several countries. I find Brad Thor's books a quicker read than some of the ones written by other authors who tackle this subject. "
— Joanne, 11/23/2013" One of the better ones. Liked the integration of the Athena Team. "
— Bob, 11/20/2013" Second half slows down. Some violence is tad too graphic for me, but easily skipped. "
— Mhd, 10/30/2013" I think my interest in this series is waning. This book read like a protracted diatribe against militant Islam and a justification for using torture to extract information. I may give the next in the series a shot, but it seems to me that Thor is running out of steam on Scot Harvath tales. "
— Michael, 8/9/2013" Once again an action packed adventure. Quick read. Loved the addition of the "girls" and can't wait to read the next one. "
— Kim, 3/14/2013" Very exciting and current agenda and situations make it seem a possible scenario "
— Leonsky, 1/8/2013" I am not sure if Brad Thor is capable of writing really good thrillers although did have a strong conclusion. "
— Rod, 7/26/2012" Lots of excitement, many twist and turns. I had a little trouble with the amount of violence and cruelty in the book. "
— Sue, 7/20/2012" So far I am not too impressed by Brad Thor. It is an ok read but if I had misplaced the book in the middle, I would not have rushed out to find a replacement to find out how it ended. "
— Christianne, 9/17/2011" After reading this, Full Black (which is actually MUCH better) makes more sense! These books help me when I am missing Jack Bauer and 24! "
