When Kayla Grey travels from Boston to Montana, the last place she expects to end up is huddled beneath a blanket of dirt in the middle of a fierce snowstorm. And the last person she expects to rescue her is the very man she’d come to find. Cal Bartlett was a true-blue cowboy with the most amazing eyes Kayla had ever seen. He was also the brother of the man who’d wanted to marry her. But she didn’t discover that until it was too late—after they’d kissed by a roaring fire and Kayla felt a desire she’d never known.
Cal didn’t know how to handle the news Kayla brought with her—that his dead brother might not be dead after all. He couldn’t imagine why he was being tested in this way, irresistibly drawn to the woman his brother had loved. Torn between guilt and longing, Cal prayed that wanting this woman wouldn’t mean losing his brother once again.

"I picked this book up at the library today but as soon as I read the back I realized I have read it already, although I don't remember when. I enjoyed it, as I enjoy all of Brockmann's novels, and was even tempted to re-read it except I have so many other books on my to read list. "

— RT Book Reviews (4 stars)“Traci Svendsgaard’s soft, warm voice captures Kayla’s concern for Liam and Cal’s gentle roughness…she captures the passions of these strong-willed lovers who fight their emotions until the inevitable takes place in this steamy romance.”
— AudioFile" Blech. Gave some thought to not giving it any stars. "
— Lois, 1/22/2014" Good read borrowed from the library "
— Amy, 1/6/2014" Well, I'm happy to say that I'm glad Brockmann moved on from writing category romance. This was a fun read, but it's pretty well steeped in genre convention. The hero and heroine spend an inordinate amount of time just pining for each other, such that even when their lives are in danger, they're still all, "wow, s/he's so sexy!" Plus there was a general lack of suspense, since I knew the book had a sequel, so I knew how things would pan out. Still, it's a fun, quick read with a little more depth than some similar books I've read in the genre. "
— Erin, 1/5/2014" I thought this book was great, would definately read it again. "
— Dana, 12/10/2013" A nice entertaining love story. "
— Marla, 11/18/2013" This is a re-release of an older series romance by Suzanne Brockmann who write a great series of navy seal books. This book was a decent romance with lots of angst and solid characterization and a little mystery but it didn't move me in the way her newer books always do. "
— BarkLessWagMore, 11/9/2013" Okay for a romance novel, decent plot, moved right along. Not my usual cup of tea, but I liked this one! "
— Jessica, 10/23/2013" Cute story--short, though, so parts of it don't feel quite as well developed as they should be. It's an early Brockmann, and therefore not quite up to her Troubleshooter standards. It's an entertaining way to spend a few hours, though. "
— Becky, 9/29/2013" Picked up at the library tutoring and well finished 2 hours later. "
— Abha, 8/27/2013" I enjoyed it - it was sexy and thrilling. "

— Josephine, 5/29/2013" Not bad for a one time listen. Started out good but sort of fizzled where it could have been very exciting. "
— Lani, 1/8/2013" Couldn't quite believe this was by S.B. Maybe it was her first book? Cardboard characters, silly plot, rushed ending. 245pp and I read it in an hour. "
— Lindig, 6/29/2012" I don't know if I want to give this book 2 stars or 3. It was okay, I liked Cal and Kayla the best in the beginning of the book when they were in the storm. The predictable ending came abruptly. I am undecided as to whether or not I am going to continue with the series. "
— Maggie, 6/23/2012" Good little romance novel. Quick read! "

— Anna, 9/23/2011" Not one of her better ones but it was okay. "
— Joanna, 9/13/2011" This is a beautiful romance and romantic suspense novel. It has romance, suspense, danger and plenty of passion. This took me 1.5 days to read. A delight. "

— Abha, 7/13/2010" This was a really nice, short, non military read by Suzanne Brockmann. If you enjoy her SEAL team books I think you would enjoy this one as well. Not as action packed as her others but a really touching, angst filled story. I loved the HEA, which left me smiling. "
