Don’t miss the next Will Trent thriller, This Is Why We Lied, coming this August!
WATCH WILL TRENT ON ABC!
There’s no police training stronger than a cop’s instinct. Faith Mitchell’s mother isn’t answering her phone. Her front door is open. There’s a bloodstain above the knob. Her infant daughter is hidden in a shed behind the house. All that the Georgia Bureau of Investigations taught Faith Mitchell goes out the window when she charges into her mother’s house, gun drawn. She sees a man dead in the laundry room. She sees a hostage situation in the bedroom. What she doesn’t see is her mother. . . .
“You know what we’re here for. Hand it over, and we’ll let her go.”
When the hostage situation turns deadly, Faith is left with too many questions, not enough answers. To find her mother, she’ll need the help of her partner, Will Trent, and they’ll both need the help of trauma doctor Sara Linton. But Faith isn’t just a cop anymore—she’s a witness. She’s also a suspect.
The thin blue line hides police corruption, bribery, even murder. Faith will have to go up against the people she respects the most in order to find her mother and bring the truth to light—or bury it forever.
Karin Slaughter’s most exhilarating novel yet is a thrilling journey through the heart and soul, where the personal and the criminal collide, and conflicted loyalties threaten to destroy reputations and ruin lives. It is the work of a master of the thriller at the top of her game, and a whirlwind of unrelenting suspense.

"I just don't like writing bad reviews, but although It wasn't bad, it just wasn't great. Wasn't really impressed with the big reveal at the end. It just didn't feel plausible or believable. I really liked another novel by this author, Pretty Girls. THAT one was amazing and kept me hanging on every word, so I will be faithful and listen to others by this author. This one just didn't do it for me, it might for someone else!"

— Theresa, 1/28/2014" I really wanted to like this book but I'm so disappointed with it. I found this book tiring although it's quite easy to read, the story seems so predictable. I found this book so American, Hollywood cheesy style and racist in some way (maybe it's just me). Sadly I won't read any of her books again. "
— Karla, 1/24/2014" this book was more interesting about personal lives of the characters unless the story itself. In this book we learn about faith's family ,about the relationship between will trent and his wife angie trent and for the first time in this series we learn about the strong feelings of sara linton for will trent. We learn that faith is adupted child from evelyn mitchel something that reminds me that even faith has a very troubled past.in this book we learn about try of will trent to cut himself to when was in the foster housewhen was child for saving angie.about the main events of the book i thing that this book isn't the best of the series and for this reason i gave 3 stars only. "

— Carrie, 12/18/2013" This is one of the best murder mysteries I have ever read. Karin Slaughter did a masterful piece on creating a gripping story that is intense from beginning to end. What an incredible family story that sends chills down my spine. I could not put this down as haunting as it was. "
— Bonnie, 12/11/2013" You must read the previous series to really get through this, but this one is definitely the best between will and sara :) "
— Meow, 11/28/2013" I listened to this audio book on a trip. This is a mystery novel with likable characters that kept me entertained during my solo 13 hour drive. I probably wouldn't have picked this one up to read but I did enjoy listening to the story. "

— Noreen, 1/10/2012" The book was good and at last Sarah is coming out of her shell and hopefully Angie gets flicked. The book says a lot about today's society how much kids have changed through the generations. The kids in this book spoke volumes of just how violent some have become, which is very sad. "
— Cheryle, 10/30/2011" This is my first Karin Slaughter book. It is really fast paced and a great read. I really enjoyed her character Will Trent. He is vulnerable and sexy. Definitely will be reading more Karin Slaughter books. I got this book from the Goodreads Giveaways. "

— Donna, 5/21/2011" Fallen opens with action and intrigue. I enjoyed reading every page of this book and hated to put it down. The ending was a total surprise. I had no clue, and I love when an author can do that. FALLEN is another Karin Slaughter book to add to your bookshelf. I can't wait for her next novel. "
