"A character that can murder without remorse is the most unlikely hero, but Thomas Perry makes it work, again. The combination of present day action and the back story of the early days of Eddie's influence is excellent. Not necessarily for everyone, be prepared for many people to die, but also know that the life they chose brought them into the Butcher's Boy's realm. Perry does a great job addressing the aging of the character; older, slower, but as dangerous as ever."
