" The plot, pacing, and chemistry between the main characters were good. What was not good was the constant sexual escapades of the hero/heroine sometimes with staff right outside the door. The FBI agent's behavior was totally inappropriate and the lack of discipline was unbelievable. Both the hero and heroine used the F-bomb in speech and thought so much it was intrusive. In fact the heroine was so foul mouthed I could not identify with her and really never cared what happened to her. " Cynthia Eden delivers another stellar romance keeps the readers attention even long after finishing the book. Deadly Heat is powerfully charged and super sexy, which make for a hot combination. Kenton and Lora are the new "it" couple if you ask me and I wouldn't be surprised if this book were turned into a movie. "

" ShortNSweet: I figured out who did it waaayy early on, it was very obvious. That made the overall book really drag. I didn't like it as much as Deadly Fear, but it was still engaging and HOT. Moving right on to Deadly Lies for sure! "

" DEADLY HEAT by Cynthia Eden is a exciting, heart thumping romantic suspense set in present day Charottesville, VA. It is well written with depth, details, twists, turns, action packed, fast paced and a thrill a minute. It is the second in "THE DEADLY SERIES",Book One,"Deadly Heat",but can be read as a stand alone. It has romance, murder,SSD(Special Services Division) agents,FBI,firefighters, police, fires, sensuality, passion, lust, serial fire killer, a vicious killer who is after the heroine, violence, strength, vulneralility and love. The hero, Kenton, is a SSD agent, FBI,sexy, handsome, strong, and determined to find the serial fire killer. The heroine, Lora, is beautiful, independent, sexy, a firefighter, has a passion for fires and is the one who called in the SSD. When first she and Kenton meet it is sparks at first sight.Lora pulls Kenton out of a blazing fire. The sparks between them build into an inferno full of passion, lust and just plain sex. Together, they must find this serial killer, for he is right under their noses. Kenton pulls in the rest of the elite team to SSD agents to help find this killer. When Kenton realizes the killer is actually after Lora,he is more than determined to find him. Will the love between them actually be their death? You MUST read this fast paced, heart thumbing, thrill a minute from the first sentence to the last story of fear, angst, love, violence, strength and vulnerability. I would highly recommend this book for all who enjoy fast paced, action packed, sensual stories of love and sacrifice. This is a MUST READ and A KEEPER.This book was received for the purpose of review from the publisher and details can be found at Forever,an imprint of Grand Central Publishing and My Book Addiction and More.

" This was a good quick intense murder / mystery / suspense / romance read! Not my favorite of her novels but definitely pulled me in with the action! "

" Strong MC's, serial killer who sets fires, the reappearance of Monica and Luke -- a good read. I guessed who the villain was pretty early on, but it's not really a mystery novel so I didn't mind (plus, I'm usually in the dark about who done it until the big reveal, so I felt smug, which is nice). " I hate to say it, but this was a DNF for me. I've read Cynthia Eden before and her writing didn't annoy me this much then. How was it annoying? All the definitive statements and superfluous descriptions. The writing just wasn't for me this time around. "

" I didn't think the characters ever made it to the love stage of their relationship. It was hot, hot sex but I like my hero and heroine to build a relationship. I never felt it happened with these two. "

" Good RS, and a pretty original story about a firefigher and an arson investigator. Eden moves close to the top of my RS faves, right behind Pamela Clare.

" This book was a fascinating look into the minds of those who have to catch a killer. The way their knowledge and instincts blend to make them wonderfully insightful. Wonderful romance along with finding the arsonist. HOT romance. :)

" Good mystery dealing with firefighters and an arsonist. Skipped over racey parts, didn't need to be so explicit.
