"This book had me laughing so hard I was crying. I'm a huge Dave Barry fan, and haven't read anything of his that hasn't cracked me up. I did get kind of bored of the format at the end... but that didn't stop me from laughing :) This is a good book to re-read over and over. "

" Dave starts the book with the most hillarious historical recap of the years 1000-1999. I haven't laughed out loud that hard for a long time. Great funny read absolutely not worth the paper it's printed on in literary terms "
— Quinn, 6/14/2011" Loved some of Barry's other books; didn't think this one worked. Bits are funny, but overall,
it doesn't suceed. "
— Brian, 6/3/2011" This is a collection of Barry's year-in-review columns from 2000 through 2006. I love years in review, and he has a funny take on what were then current events. It's a good mix of clever wit and plain silliness. "
— Rachel, 5/5/2011" Dave's yearly recaps are probably my favorite of his writing. Found it hilarious. "
— Matt, 5/4/2011" I just really didn't think it was that funny, and I really like Dave Barry. I was pretty disappointed. There were some really funny bits, but mostly I just felt like he was trying too hard. It got kind of rambling and annoying after awhile - well, to me, anyway. "
— Jill, 4/4/2011" Humor books are better when they're funny. "
— S, 2/23/2011" A very quick read, but so very funny.
I definitely laughed outloud at a few parts.
All those news stories you ever wanted to make fun of... he does for you! "
— Jennifer, 1/27/2011" I quirky rendition of history as documented by one of America's funniest humorists.

Let's just say I wouldn't take a history exam off of this book, however it is a very entertaining read. "
— Edlives, 1/9/2011" Funny - very like Jon Stewart's take on history. Quick and enjoyable. "
— Jan, 12/10/2010" The always funny Mr. Barry gives us not only his version of the history of the current millennium (the one that began in 2000), but also an abridged and hilarious account of the one we recently finished (1000-1999). "
— Dan, 9/9/2010" Typically hilarious crap from Dave Barry. "
— Ezra, 6/21/2010" Dave Barry's view of history had me laughing each page. Wish he was still a weekly newspaper columnist, so that I don't have to wait for the book. "
