Publisher Description

Lots of women put their careers aside once the kids come along. Kate Connor, for instance, hasn't hunted a demon in ages. That must be why she missed the one wandering through the San Diablo Walmart. Unfortunately, he managed to catch her attention an hour later—when he crashed into the Connor house, intent on killing her. Now Kate has to dispose of a dead demon and pull together a dinner party—all without arousing her family's suspicion. Worse yet, it seems the dead demon didn't come alone. It's time for Kate Connor to go back to work.

"Demon-Hunter-turned-stay-at-home-mom must pull her skills out of the attic when the Undead invade her sleepy suburban town of San Diablo. A quick, fun, read that probably deserves 3.5 stars instead of four, but I really enjoyed it. Quirky and enteretaining."

" This was a good book. Funny story line, easy to read. Not the most stunning writing style ever, but I'll likely pick up the next book in the series when I run out of other things to read. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I were able to do so. "

" Another abandoned book. By the end of the first chapter, I knew this book wasn't for me. The line that really sealed the deal was when the narrator stated she wasn't worrying about her two year old son being gay because he liked watching Australian men dance. Thank you for sharing what you are not doing. Also, for perpetuating stereotypes. Plus there was incessant brand dropping to make the plot seem relevant, but really just made everything dated. "

" Finally got around to reading this series. If I didn't have the next three books on my tbr shelf, I wouldn't have bothered picking them up. It was very repetitive, whingy and rather annoying at times. But I like the idea behind it, a little bit of mystery. Though to be honest, I guessed from the start who it was. "

" What if a demon slayer settled down to a life as a Soccer Mom, but then a dozen years later the demons start coming back? This book is cotton-candy, very light and Buffy, er, I mean fluffy, with no surprises in plot or tone. If you are in the mood for cotton-candy, I recommend it. "

" The series seems to be spinning a little out of control--pretty soon they will have revealed the secret to everyone in town! I wish the reincarnated ex-husband would just die---that drama doesn't do it for me. I'll try one more of these to see if things get back on track. "
