When friends stop trusting each other, Darkness is there to fan the flames…. Things have turned black at the House of Night. Zoey Redbird's soul has shattered. With everything she's ever stood for falling apart, and a broken heart making her want to stay in the Otherworld forever, Zoey's fading fast. It's seeming more and more doubtful that she will be able pull herself back together in time to rejoin her friends and set the world to rights. As the only living person who can reach her, Stark must find a way to get to her. But how? He will have to die to do so, the Vampire High Council stipulates. And then Zoey will give up for sure. There are only 7 days left… Enter BFF Stevie Rae. She wants to help Z but she has massive problems of her own. The rogue Red Fledglings are acting up, and this time not even Stevie Rae can protect them from the consequences. Her kinda boyfriend, Dallas, is sweet but too nosy for his own good. The truth is, Stevie Rae's hiding a secret that might be the key to getting Zoey home but also threatens to explode her whole world. In the middle of the whole mess is Aphrodite: ex-Fledgling, trust-fund baby, total hag from Hell (and proud of it). She's always been blessed (if you could call it that) with visions that can reveal the future, but now it seems Nyx has decided to speak through her with the goddess's own voice, whether she wants it or not. Aphrodite's loyalty can swing a lot of different ways, but right now Zoey's fate hangs in the balance. Three girls… playing with fire… if they don't watch out, everyone will get Burned.

"First off let me say!!! This is my favorite series to read & it only gets better and better! I’m pissed off that (spoiler alert) heath died ?? the only negative opinion I have is that you could totally tell this reader has a cold and a stuffy mose???? and honestly it’s really annoying and cringey to listen to!! Lucky I’m so into the story other wise Her stuffiness would have been a deal breaker. Like hello can I get a manager ??! Lol 3 stars because of that "

Read by Caitlin Davies, BURNED is just as addicting as the previous books in the series...Caitlin is able to keep the pace of the story fast and heart-pounding...Her voice was a pleasure to listen to and kept me entertained up until the final chapter.

— Jessica C Garcia, 7/29/2020" A lot happens in this book. Kolona meets up with heath. Zoeys soul is shattered. The how's, why's and whats next is explained. What does that mean and how does she put it back together? What is the outerworld? How does one get there and how does one leave? "
— mom2wah, 2/19/2014" Was a really good build-up. Can't wait to read the next one!!! =) "
— Kayleighh!, 2/13/2014" It's a good series that's been stretched out a little to far.... I find Cast to be a little quirky at times that can take away from the story. "
— Kirby, 2/8/2014" loved the story about steve rae. "
— Mia83627, 2/1/2014" honor surpasses love. however, stevie rae and rephaim outshine zoey and heath's love story in this book. i'm up for the next one. "
— Jo, 1/19/2014" Was getting really annoyed with Stark's attitude and the agonizingly slow pace of that part of the story until the end where he finally got to the Otherwolrd. liked Stevie Rae's part though. "
— Gabby, 1/1/2014" Meh, it became quite the hassle trying to finish this book so I just quit.. And I seldom do that "
— Courtney, 12/18/2013" So amazing....i have just loved the series and i am now looking for the next one... "
— Bey, 12/5/2013" I'm kind of to the point with this series that I am just reading them because I don't like to not finish what I started. The story line isn't BAD, but the writing is a little immature for my taste. I'm also note a huge fan of the whole vampire trend going on lately :/ "
— Ashley, 11/29/2013" Not one of my favorites, but good. I love the story and the ease of the read. Keeps me wanting to read the next, which is good. "
— Danielle, 11/20/2013" it wasnt as good as the rest of the series . it was sort of boring and i lost interest part way through . "

— Christal, 8/22/2013" I liked this series at the beginning... but it seems like every book is now relatively the same sort of angst... will not be reading anymore in this series. "
— Kaarinedm, 8/14/2013" Not my favorite. Like the ending. Didn't like the constant switching between characters. "
— Andrea, 5/30/2013" re readinf before next book love it "
— April, 3/29/2013" I rated this for Stevie Rae & the weird bird/man, Rephaim, but I didn't really like the rest of the book and Stark has just turned into a big girls blouse. I feel like I've moved on from this series, and doubt I'll return to it. "
— Steph, 1/25/2013" i enjoyed this more than any in the series thus far!!! "
— Heather, 12/22/2012" Great book I was so excited for Stevie Rea! Deffinitly a MUST READ! but start with marked! Heck read them all there easy to read and soooo amazing!!!! "

— Tammi, 7/26/2011" I actually liked this one. I was glad to see Stevie Rae start to have feelings for Rephaim. "
— Joanna, 5/21/2011" I think the thrill of this series has worn off for me. I got through this book to see what happened, started Awakened, and have stalled. I can't pinpoint what is off (characters? plot?) but something is. "

— Alim, 5/18/2011" The best thing about these books is the plot and not a lot happened in this one. "
— Chinook, 5/15/2011" This book is soooo great. It always keeps me on the edge of my seat. "
— Alexa, 5/15/2011" This one and the first of the series are my favorites. P.C. Cast does not dissapoint with this one. I was anxously waiting for the next one, which I finished reading a couple of weeks ago :) "
— Natali, 5/11/2011" The first 5 were great if not a little childish at times but the writers now seem to be milking their fame. The story is dragging out. I don't think I'll be buying anymore. "
— Leigh, 5/10/2011" By far one of the best ones of all, and not because of the plot this time. Rather, it's a good book that gives insights on a philosophical level. "
— Richard, 5/10/2011" Loved it totally!!!
Review coming up soon..... "
— Mia, 5/9/2011"
From the moment I stuck my face in this book it hooked me. I did enjoy the different pov's of the other characters and didn't mind that it jumped around a bit.

"
— 5/3/2011" I loved this book. P.C. Cast is on of my favorite authors. Looking forward to more. "
— Jessica, 5/2/2011" Irritating,as far as the language and depth of the characters goes, but I've been reading this with my daughter so we now are invested in the outcome. Also, main characters are being killed off willy nilly at an alarming rate, with little emotional attachment. "
