"Julie Haart's memoir Brazen was a good read. I hadn't watched any of the Netflix series before reading this book so I had no idea what to expect. The book is well written, with insight into her childhood, her religion and her life as a wife and mother, and finally in her desire to leave the community. I felt like parts of it were a bit cringy because no one wants to hear that one is a "squirter." "
