"This book is centered around Oak Ridge and the Manhattan Project in Tennessee. Although the beginning seems to be a typical murder/mystery written by Jefferson Bass, once you get into the main body of the novel there is nothing typical about it. I learned alot about World War II and the atomic bomb while reading this which surprised me. It was a very nice change of pace from the last few Jefferson Bass books that I have read."

" It was interesting learning about the history of the radiation, the harm and benefits of it. Alot of people put themselves at great risk for the advance of technology. I love this series. "
— Gloria, 2/19/2014" Better than the last one, I liked this one but again the mystery wasn't the main focus. "
— Emily, 2/16/2014" Good, man found with radio active pellet in him. Oak Ridge involvement. "

— Corinne, 1/17/2014" This is the best of the series so far, in my humble opinion. Not only is there a good mystery murder plot, there is a wealth of information on the Manhattan Project and insights into many facets of FBI and detective work. Loved it. "

— Michelle, 11/24/2013" Bones of Betrayal by Jefferson Bass is a very interesting book. You really learn a lot about the area you live in if you live in East Tennessee. I enjoyed the book very much and will continue to read the other books that have been written by Jefferson Bass. Please keep on writing!! "

— Peggy, 7/5/2013" This one was the best book in the series so far. Informative, very descriptive (as per ususual) and surprisingly on topic. The conclusion came out of no where and I don't think anyone could have seen it coming. The very, very descriptive autopsy was...interesting...I could almost smell it! "

— Pat, 10/18/2012" Terrific information in this sort of techno mystery about a 60-year-old murder in the Manhattan Project. "
— Gerald, 9/28/2012" Not my favorite of the series (because it's heavy on the physics, and that's not my thing), but I still found it interesting and entertaining. "
— Daniele, 7/19/2012" Another visit to the Body Farm, this time involving the history of the Manhattan Project. I skimmed a little when things got too scientific, but overall another good book. "

— Paul, 3/28/2011" This series is a tired genre of pathologist thriller but this team gives it new life with all of their books. The writing is real, the people are real, the explanations of medical or scientific details is not boring.

I recommend all of these books. "
