Publisher Description

Following his adventures in the Scottish Highlands, James Bond is back at Eton, where he has joined the risk-taking Danger Society. Summer vacation is on the horizon and James is looking forward to the school trip to the beautiful Italian island of Sardinia, and the opportunity to spend some time with his reclusive cousin Victor. But all is not as it appears. James soon discovers that the seemingly peaceful island harbors some strange secrets. Before long, Victor’s house has been ransacked and important pieces of artwork have been stolen. He suspects the impetuous millionaire Count Ugo Carnifex may be behind it. But one of his teachers has been acting strangely as well... As a young girl’s life hangs in the balance, it’s up to James to uncover an intricate conspiracy that will take him head-to-head with enemies more ruthless than he could have ever imagined.

James quickly tells him the story of his parents. The boy then finds his senses enough to turn the car around and head back for the school. " This book is not one of my favorites. I feel that the first book in this seris is much better ("Silverfin"). One thing I think the author did well was keep the reader wanting to read. However this non-stop action did get old. When ever he thought he was safe I knew that he wasn't. I did however like that in all his book he sets the book up in the first chapter. I wouldn't read this book again for any means. Overall not that great of a book. "

" These "books for boys" tell the story of the young James Bond, a student at Eton. They may be YA, but if like books like Agatha Christies, you'll enjoy these entertaining books. (There are five. This is No. 2.) "

" 2.5 Overall, I felt that the story was just very messy and un-organized. The problems that came up in the beginning were solved at the very end, and the later problems were solved before. The ending was very dumb, and the writing style was a whole lot more confusing. Maybe book 3 will be better?!?! "
