"Have started this series again/ rereading the series. The second time is as good as the first. The interaction between Sarah and Jackson is tense and tender at the same time. A great start to a great series with plenty of character to keep going for awhile."
— Sue (5 out of 5 stars)
" This book feels very amateur to me. The plot is weak, the chemistry again weak. I'm not really buying into it "
— Nicci, 2/16/2014" This got too schmaltzy too fast. Too many lingering pants tightening looks no man does all that desiring and if he does be needs to seek medical help cause that lasted over 6 hours "
— Heidi, 2/13/2014" a quick fun little read "
— Stephanie, 1/28/2014" Didn't finish. The story doesn't click for me. Jackson invests himself into Sarah's baggage way too fast. "
— Kerstin, 1/22/2014" I think I spent too much time in Wyoming to give an author a break on poor research. The story seemed overly complicated for such a simple ending. I liked the hero, so I kept reading. Not a believable story, at all. "
— Mum, 1/17/2014" This is a new author for me. I really enjoyed this story and can't wait to read the other two books in this series. "
— Debbie, 1/2/2014" "Against the ..." is a series of 3 books about the 3 Raines brothers. The first story is about Jackson who stayed on the family ranch and his former high school girlfriend. Very good story "
— Connie, 1/1/2014" Started out decently, and then got super boring :( "
— Chris, 12/21/2013" Another great Kat Martin read. "
— Tracey, 12/20/2013" I liked the characters and the premise, it was a tad too romance cliched for my taste. I do enjoy this author quite a bit, may try the next in this series, I've heard it is much better. "
— Diane, 12/15/2013" This was a great book. The story was great and I enjoyed how the attraction between Jackson and Sarah developed into true love. He became a hero to Sarah and her daughter Holly. "
— Linda, 12/11/2013" Very glad I decided to give this author a second try. I enjoyed this book a lot and found the story line stronger and the romance less crude than the first book of hers I read. "
— Emily, 10/14/2013" Loving these brothers! "
— Marla, 3/14/2013" Lots of action and suspense...sex and romance "
— Mary, 2/13/2013" I love all of the books that I have read from Kat Martin and this series was just as good. Looking forward to the next three in this series "
— Jeanne, 1/24/2013" OK premise. Terrible writing. Her historicles are much better "
— Books, 12/23/2012" Very well written. Can't wait for the second and third to be released. Action and romance, what more could a person ask for. "
— Dee, 12/11/2012" A good book---I was able to find the next 2 books in the series. Her books ae great stand alone or in a series. "
— Maureen, 11/24/2012" Who doesn't like a book with a Cowboy in it?? Looking forward to the rest of the series! "
— Alisa, 8/15/2012" Short on story line....long on sex. The storyline is not fully developed, and neither are the characters. I would not recommend it to a serious reader. "
— Rachelle, 6/10/2012" One of the girls at work gave me this. She said it was a romance with a story. I really enjoyed the love story and the mystery. Will probably read the other two in the series. "
— Stephanie, 2/26/2012" This has to be the worst romance I've read in a long time. No chemistry, stupid heroine, unbelievable plot line, and gratuitous use of Olympic boxing to impart the hero with some toughness. Ick. "
— Marisa, 1/12/2012" Love anything by Kat Martin very good if you love cowboys! "
