" I starting to remember why I don't really enjoy Kat Martin's books. She takes things right to the edge - with the storyline, with the threat to her main characters, even with the bedroom scenes - and then reins it all in just as it was getting interesting. This book was pretty boring and the plot was lukewarm at best. Which was sad, because I liked the characters she introduced - which is usually the toughest battle when writing fiction - but it fell flat with such a rambling pursuit of the resolution of plotline. Ugh. Have to finish the series or it will bug me to no end, so I'm hoping the last one is better. "
