" Got stuck reading this for book club. "

" I used to love Kat Martin above all other authors - her stories held suspense, romance, and danger. Now I feel like these plots are very predictable, and it has become very ho-hum. She is keeping on this series after like 7 previous books, and they just seem to be the same. I miss the old Kat Martin plots! "

" The pacing was excellent, the various problems for the protagonists multitudinous but this one isn't as good as the previous books in this series. A bit too much stretching to reach the required state of affairs between the lovers. There were many good parts to it though. I particularly liked the way Martin dealt with stranding the couple in the desert. The style in which she had them cope is believable enough and even delightful. By and large I enjoyed both Sabrina and Alex though his reasons for avoiding 'love' were very weak. Still, I will read the next one because Martin does both action and love well and yes, her love scenes burn up the pages. But they would be blah without the accompanying adventures which she does especially well. "

" I've been intriqued with this series about the Raines of Wind Canyon. The stories, characters, and settings are great and keep the reader entertained. I have the next few to catch up on. Fast, exciting reads. "

" I finally found the time to finish this book. It had a lot of twist and turns and never expected the ending. Alex and Sabrina both love adventures and it was a good thing since they had a lot of them. Rebecca and Joe finally got to know each other too. Looking forward to the next book in the series. "
