Rita Award winner Barbara Metzger puts a tantalizing mix of humor and scandal into her Regency era novels. Ace Endicott, the Earl of Carde, needs a woman who will give him an heir, but he never expects to be engaged to three different women or to become the laughingstock of the gossip columnists. "So this is book 1 in a trilogy that I read 2nd! It was enjoyable and rather clean. Now I just have t find book 3 to finish the series. It would be better to read these in order as the characters do continue on in the story of 3 siblings. "

— RT Book Reviews (4 stars)" Amusing regency romance. I'm not convinced that I'll read the other 2 books, but I might. Her style is a lot like Mary Balogh, which I like. This story was really great (love the goose)but drawn out more than the plot would support. "
