“Feist constantly amazes.”

“Feist has a command of language and a natural talent for keeping the reader turning pages.”

The Chaoswar—the fifth and final Riftwar—is in full, explosive swing in Raymond E. Feist’s A Crown Imperiled, the second book in the acclaimed, New York Times bestselling fantasist’s monumental saga of courage, conflict, and bitter consequence. Once again, Midkemia, the author’s brilliantly conceived fantasy milieu, is in gravest danger from outside invaders—and from treacherous forces within—as the death of a powerful leader throws the world into chaos and threatens all hope of enduring peace. Returning in A Crown Imperiled are some of Feist’s most memorable characters—including the great sorcerer, Pug, who has been a fan favorite since his introduction in the author’s beloved classic, Magician—and the action, as always, comes fast and furious. The Chaoswar Saga is the master fantasist working at the peak of his powers, and further proof why Raymond E. Feist, like Terry Goodkind, George R. R. Martin, and Terry Brooks, is one of the true giants of epic fantasy fiction.

"This was a great book - however I was disappointed by the massive amopunt of spelling mistakes, grammatical errors and even a few sections where the wrong character was involved. For example where Pug was involved in tracking the Pantathians, when it should have been Magnus, or why did Magnus have to explain to Pug about the discovery of them."

“Feist has a command of language and a natural talent for keeping the reader turning pages.”
— Chicago Sun-Times" I've been following Feist for years and I'm happy at every new one. This is not the best written, most original fantasy novel (I find them very recipe-esque) but is a satisfying one. "
— Andre, 2/18/2014" Can't wait for the next book! "
— Rich, 2/18/2014" I enjoyed the story, although toward the end I am a bit concerned about the level of escalation. What really hurt my reading experience was that my copy (and perhaps this was particularly the case for the e-book, I don't know) seemed to be poorly proofread, and to frequently have repeated or missing words. "
— Andrew, 2/9/2014" I like the characters and convoluted plot in this one. Feist continues writing with extremely poor English, but I suppose I've gotten used to it enough to simply ignore it. "
— Robert, 1/30/2014" As always, Raymond Feist keeps the pages turning, chapter after chapter, with amazing characters you never want to see die. Been reading his books for so long, his NEW books are as comfortable as a good cup of coffee in the morning or after a good meal. I am already wishing the next book was out so I can continue the story. "
— Blake, 1/22/2014" Can't wait for the last book, setting a brilliant stage! "
— Johan, 1/16/2014" I enjoyed this book, however the bad editing and major flaw included annoyed me. "
— Gareth, 1/15/2014" Great read as always can't wait for 3 .... wonderful "
— Heather, 11/8/2013" Give... another... volume... now! "
— Rafal, 7/25/2013" I don't know who he does it but somehow he keeps expanding the storyline, finding new stuff to throw in the story. Just amazing once again :D I'll have to read it another time I guess to fully understand all the new story lines but that doesn't matter;D "
— Arno, 6/26/2013" This could be good, but was let down by really poor editing and clumsy proof reading. "
— Bob, 12/9/2012" I liked this more than any of the previous 3 or 4 books. It's almost restored some of my faith in REF. "
— Leisuresuitlarry, 11/4/2012" Interesting, I am assuming there is one more to come or is this the end? "
— Dale, 9/21/2012" Really good book, the last couple of books i thought were good but had nothing to suck me in or surprise me, until this one, and it ended on a massive cliffhanger, i cant wait to see what happens. "
— Steven, 6/8/2012" I thoroughly enjoyed it! It looks like we are headed to the end of the series! "
— Edward, 5/31/2012" While I enjoyed the story, I was incredibly frustrated by the appalling editing. The problems with continuity and character, spelling, grammar, missing words and phrases made this book hard work to read. I'm a fan of Feist's work, but don't think I'll be reading any new book by him in future. "
