"Rather than review each of Karen's books, let me just say Karen's books are consistently excellent, and this one is no exception. She deals with all kinds of subjects and is not afraid to address life's serious issues directly. All uphold high ideals and Christian viewpoint but I will say I think anyone with any viewpoint would enjoy and stand to learn something from her stories. Each stands as a literary masterpiece on its own merits. But unlike so many masterpieces, this is just a totally good read, just for the joy of it. If you are tired of the second rate variety that is definitely out there, I would recommend that you try any of her stories for yourself. My wife and I preorder each new book she writes and listen in the car when possible. I think we have collected most of her stories and have listened to most of them several times, always enjoying them as much as re-runs as we did the first time. My wife's friend at work has also listened to most of them and shares our sentiments about them. The characters are developed very well and the stories keep you on the edge of your seat. I have also learned a lot about many aspects of life that I was never taught and I didn't know anyone who had experienced that. I think it has helped me understand people a little better than I did before. I always enjoy learning something of value whenever I can. What a good way to build that into a trip to the store! "
