"This one follows Cody from a previous book called A thousand tomorrows..picks up 7 years after the last book, and focuses on Cody still in grief, and his brother who has down syndrome. its touching the way the author put some of the book in the point of view of his brother and how he viewed the world, and something so simple as mickey mouse, whom most take for granted, can make him feel so much childish excitement. a heart tugging book for sure"

— Dessy, 1/17/2014" I thought this book was absolutely amazing! :D It was enticing and unputdownable. The story really grips your heart and makes you want to relate and emphatize with the characters and it gets to a point you forget it's fiction. I enjoyed it soo much I actually paid for my library to get it so my friend could read it too. Well Done once again Karen Kingsbury, the book totally exceeded my expectations. "
— Reni, 1/17/2014" The one thing that stood out with this one is. When life is full of pain and its hard to let go of the past. Open your hands and give the pain to God and let Him fill it with His love. He can't fill your hands if you keep them closed clinging tightly to past pain! "
— Jonimarie, 1/16/2014" Classic Kingsbury. Nice read with a nice ending. "
— Heiderworld, 1/7/2014" Sequel to A Thousand Tomorrows. Focusing on down syndrome adults gaining independence. Other than that, pretty surface-y. "

— Loraine, 8/2/2013" I enjoyed this book even as much as the first in the series. It's a heart warming story about life's pains and the ability to move on, with the help of God. I loved the Down Syndrome characters and the way Cody and Elle could see the simplicity of love through these handicapped individuals. "

— Penny, 11/6/2012" The sequel to "A Thousand Tomorrows," this is the continuing story of Cody Gunner, though the majority of the story centers around Carl Joseph, Cody's brother with Down Syndrome. "
— Bethany, 9/20/2012" I definitely liked the second book more than the first because it wrapped up the story. My heart ached for Cody Gunner so much in the first book; I was gad to learn what happened to him. I loved the message in this book too . . . that there is sunshine beyond the clouds. "
