"After reading The Sorceress, I hesitated to read this book. Mostly because the book felt like it had less pages. Honestly, I really like this series. But.. So many things angered me in this book, it just made me want to cry and shut myself in a corner of a room. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has felt this way while reading this book. I had mixed feelings about having different point of views while reading. While I am glad to see everything happen, I'm not really satisfied with the little amount of chapters the Newman's had throughout this book. Can't wait until I go to a bookstore and get the next two books!"

— â“eah, 2/8/2014" The fourth in the Secrets of the Immortal Nicolas Flemel series. See my review for The Alchemyst. "

— Miss, 11/15/2013" Fun to read this series. "
— Pete, 9/23/2013" I love these books. The author did a suprisingly good job of making the plot easy to follow with the amount of characters he has now developed. I was sad when it ended. I would say good series for anyone who likes teen fantasy. "
— Lesli, 9/23/2013" So glad I stuck with this series! The interplay between the twins was very good in this installment and I loved the setup for the next book. "
— Meaghan, 8/21/2013" I took a break from this series, but am so glad to be back reading it. The action and linking of characters makes so much more sense in this part of the series. I am enjoying the fact that there is so much doubt and changing of tides when it comes to the good vs evil side choosing. "
— Amanda, 7/25/2013" wicked wizardy "
— Kevin, 6/28/2013" This book was sloppy. Several things didn't follow the magic rules set up in the book and read more like a rough draft than a quality book. "
— Cara, 4/29/2013" This is one of the best modern books I have read. "
— Deon, 12/27/2012" This book is really good. It keeps you in suspence and is really interesting. "
— Michael, 11/17/2012" Josh and Sophie finally got separated. Cant wait to read what happen next. "
— Rachael, 11/9/2012" Wow... love the characters! Nicholas Flamel, Perenell, Sophy & Josh, Joan of Arc, Scathach the Shadow, Dr. John Dee, Virginia Dare... Hecate, Mars, Morrigan, The Archons... "
— Marilee, 12/28/2011" So, on top of Nicholas and Perenelle Flamel, John Dee, Le Comte St. Germaine, Joan of Arc, Mars, the Witch of Endor, Machiavelli, Billy the Kid, Shakespeare, Palamedes... we now have Virginia Dare, Prometheus, Quetzalcoatl.... I'm kind of loving it, but where's it going to stop? "
— Kirsten, 12/2/2011" This book was very exhierating and very intense. "
— Raven, 5/23/2011" Is just awesome, yet again a book that incorporates many different myths. How can't it be good? "
— Katie, 5/22/2011" not sure why Michael Scott tried to be relatable using current pop culture... Those may likely be irrelevant in the future. Anyway, with that observation aside, it was a decent book where fantasy and reality intersect. What if myths and legends really were true? "
— Nikki, 5/20/2011" This book was amazing and got me hooked into a series out of five i give it a seven "
— Alex, 5/18/2011" 1st of a fun easy read series - entertaining and light hearted! "
— Crystal, 5/17/2011" Such a good book Michael Scott mixed magic and normal life to make legends come alive. "
— Sophie, 5/17/2011" I had a really bad attitude about this book at first. As it went on, however, I got involved in the story and ended up enjoying it a lot. I will read the sequel, though it's not currently very high on my to-read list. "
— Kristin, 5/17/2011" A great mix of fact, fiction, and fantasy. If you've enjoyed books like The Da Vinci Code, The Historian, Harry Potter, and anything Tolkein, you should definitely read this book. Looking forward to reading the rest of the books in this series. "
— Jason, 5/15/2011" I'm a twin so i felt like it was my sister and I living this experience...although it was a very quick read i liked it very much it wasn't a killer book. "
— Brett, 5/15/2011" This book was amazing. I loved the way Michael just got into the point, not adding too much information and that got me more into reading this book. But Josh, who I thought was cool at first, got a bit annoying after Sophie's magic was awoken. "
