Mohammed Hanif is a Pakistani writer and journalist. His first novel A Case of Exploding Mangoes was shortlisted for the Guardian First Book Award and longlisted for the Man Booker Prize. It won the Commonwealth Book Prize for Best First Book and the Shakti Bhatt First Book Prize. He has also written for the stage and screen, including a feature film, The Long Night.
