About Norman Vincent Peale

Dr. Norman Vincent Peale (1898–1993) was a minister and author known for his book, The Power of Positive Thinking. Some of his other popular works include The Art of Living, A Guide to Confident Living, and The Tough-Minded Optimist. His radio and television program, The Art of Living, lasted for fifty-four years. He is the founder of a number of organizations and publications, including the Positive Thinking Foundation, Guideposts magazine, and the Horatio Alger Association. He earned degrees from Ohio Weslyan University and Boston University School of Theology.
