What do you do when your knight in shining armor lives, literally, in a different world? Most American teenagers want a vacation in Italy, but the Betarrini sisters have spent every summer of their lives among the romantic hills with their archaeologist parents. Stuck among the rubble of medieval castles in rural Tuscany on yet another hot, dusty archaeological site, Gabi and Lia are bored out of their minds … until Gabi places her hand atop a handprint in an ancient tomb and finds herself in fourteenth-century Italy. And worse yet, in the middle of a fierce battle between knights of two opposing forces. Suddenly Gabi’s summer in Italy is much, much more interesting.

"I was not so sure about this book when I got it and it took me a while to decided to give it a chance. I was plesently supprised. It was not what I would call AMAZING, but it was different from what I normaly read and it kept me intrested and left me excited to read the next book (which I have on order and can not get to me soon enough!) I like Gabi enough but at times I found her abit too dull for me, I like wit and Luca was full of it! I would definatly say read it but don't expect it to be WHOO HOO!"

— Melody Carlson, author of the Diary of a Teenage Girl and the True Colors series" I love this book. As in! I can't wait to read the next book on Lia and Gabi's adventure. "
— Clary, 1/30/2014" I can't. Most whiny, idiotic, selfish, useless character award. But the setting made for a nice change of scenery. Tuscany is underrated. "
— India, 1/28/2014" Is time travel science fiction? Does traveling back in time make this historical? So, just how would a modern person react in an earlier time? And what are the chances of coming back to the right place in time when it was over? I guess it can be whatever the author wants. It was a good story. "
— Judie, 1/10/2014" I enjoyed this book and cannot wait for Cascade to come out "
