Publisher Description

Cora is about to discover who she truly is. It’s the summer of 1913, and Cora Kensington’s life on the family farm has taken a dark turn. Not only are the crops failing, but someone dear to Cora is failing as well. One fateful afternoon, a stranger comes to call, and Cora discovers a terrible secret about her past… a secret that will radically change her future. Cora is invited to take the “Grand Tour” of Europe, a trip intended to finish a person’s education and solidify an understanding of refinement and ancient culture. As she travels from England to France with kin she’s never known, Cora encounters the blessings of a family name, as well as the curses. But when an unbidden love begins to form, she realizes there are far greater challenges ahead…. The first audio book in the Grand Tour series will take you on a journey of cultural refinement—but, moreover, on an inner journey of self-discovery.

"I began reading this book unsure if I was going to enjoy it. I am sooo glad I did. Bergen is so talented in developing each of her characters. It was clever to read from each of their perspectives. The book didnt jump around like some when the author is trying to write from different viewpoints. It flowed great and I found myself unable to put it down. Cora was a delight as the reader struggled with her in finding herself as she traveled abroad. The criticism and judgemental people she faced was very realistic. In the end she prevails and finds herself but also finds herself with several admirers. I love the way it ended. I was struggling to decided who I thought she should end up with but the author left it up to the reader. It appears as though a second book could be made from this too! It is well worth your time to read this!!"

" It was good. I little romance - you already think you know who will hook up with whom, but then I suppose You'd have to read the next book. Very enjoyable - nice light read. "

" This book was a strong 4 stars until the very end. The climax came out of left field and I don't think this book should have sequels (the "cliffhanger" just feels like the author got tired of writing the book and said to her publisher, "Uh... that's it for this one.... I'm gonna write more though... so... don't worry about that). The end should have wrapped up the first 85% of the book sweetly and simply. I would have loved it if that had been the case. Overall I liked it, but I don't know if I'll bother with the sequels. "

" Once Cora discovers who she really is, she must come to terms with that knowledge in one of the most challenging ways...be being thrown headlong into a grand tour of Europe with none other than those who despise her. Objective? Come out knowing more about herself and who she really is. "

" An interesting journey, physically and emotionally. I will look forward to the next book and the rest of their tour. (Beautiful cover from afar, but up close the woman looks unapproachable-not how the character is written.) "

" I liked the plot and the characters, but I wasn't expecting it to be so over the top Christian romance. I felt like at some points God was shoved in there rather than it being a natural part of the storyline. It was still a good book though. "
