At Violin's center: a uniquely fascinating woman, Triana - who once dreamed of becoming a great musician - and the demonic fiddler Stefan, tormented ghost of a Russian aristocrat, who begins to prey upon her, using his magic violin first to enchant, then to dominate and draw her into a state of madness through the music she loves.

But Triana understands the power of the music perhaps even more than does Stefan - and she sets out to resist Stefan and to fight not only for her sanity but for her life. The struggle draws them both into a terrifying supernatural realm where they find themselves surrounded by memories, horrors, and overwhelming truths.

Violin flows abundant with the history, the drama, the invention, and the romantic intensity that have become synonymous with Anne Rice at her incomparable best. Download and start listening now!

" I picked this book up at the library craving a good ol' Anne Rice story--a hint of trash, a lot of supernatural, and a fine story woven in. That's not what I got! This book was very different from the others I have read, which include the LeStat vampire series and the Mayfair witches series. I didn't like this much...it had a few good moments, but it was quite a drag for the first half for sure! A woman who is buried in her own miserable tale, a violin-playing specter who is drawn to her...and their resolution. Actually a happy ending. "

" Loved this very alluring and strange even for Anne Rice.. I love the emotions. She always explores different writing styles. "

" I really loved this book. I am a lot more into Anne Rice's stuff that doesn't belong in a series. "

" this was my first Anne Rice and I have to say I wasn't excited about it. It was very weepy and whiney. I have heard this is her M.O. for the vampire books and I don't fine myself getting excited to read them now. Maybe the passion of Christ will do more for me, but if she paints Christ up to be a victim like the rest of these characters then I'm done with her. "
