"My boyfriend told me to read this and I won't break up with him or anything because it was actually pretty interesting. I have only read a few books where the main character is black, so it was new for me. I liked the concept, however I'm still not really sure what exactly happened."

" Always Walter Mosley's science fiction novels. "
— Eric, 2/15/2014" This book was a bit weird--i didn't quite buy the omniscient amoeba parasitical god thing, or the mad-plastic-surgeon bit. And i thought it was pretty sexist too-the female characters were one-dimensional sex objects. I definitely liked Futureland and Blue Light a lot better. I think I only liked this because the other sci-fi book I'm reading right now is *really* badly written. Meh. "
— Colin, 2/6/2014" A good little book. I thought it might be some sort of paranormal type thing at first, but I gave it a little time, and it paid off. Very cool sci- fi book. "
— Oliver, 2/3/2014" Walter Mosley is a master storyteller. This book is part fiction/Sci-Fi. Very different from anything I have ever read before, but very good. I look forward to reading more of his books. "
— Chelsea, 11/16/2013" At first I did not like the beginning of the book and was forced to read it because I had nothing else on hand to read. But the story is fabulous!!! I love the mix of supernatural in this novel, it's quite a change from Mosley's normal works!! "
— Shaneka, 10/13/2013" This man can write some super sci fi! "
— Vickie, 9/27/2013" Creepy and strange...but pretty awesome. It's considered science fiction, and it is definitely out there...but if you are looking for something to take you out of your normal reading routine, try this one for a different type of journey. "
— Natasha, 9/10/2013" This book was so bad, that it is hands down the closest that I have ever come to not finishing a book that I started. "
— John, 8/1/2013" Good start mixing mystery crime and then sci fi. But but ends up like rather silly 50s b movie. Nice style but sorry Walter you are not a good sci fi writer "
— Jon, 6/18/2013" Now this book was extremely interesting! The concept was very futurist and totally unexpected from this author because I've been reading/listening to the audio CDs his mysteries. I really enjoyed it though, the oneness, the eery quality. Worth checking out! "
— Poeticleah, 11/22/2012" This was not my favorite audio book. Perhaps the characterization was what was irritating. I suppose the story was okay, but I listened just to see what happened at the end. "
