Popular author Katie MacAlister's novels are New York Times and USA Today best-sellers. In this second book from the Light Dragons series, Ysolde Bouchier is still not used to the idea of being part dragon. And she's got other things to worry about-like trying to rescue a friend of Baltic, her dragon lover. She's also faced with the challenge of convincing Baltic to speak with the dragons who want him dead, then clear his name of the murder charges still hanging over his head.

"Katie it was great! Pieces of the puzzle are coming together at last and nothing was as it seemed from all the previous books! I felt sorry for Jim that he had to be stuck in his human form for so long. I can't wait for Baltic 3 to see what is going to happen next!"

" This book was okay, though I think it spent a little too much time on Ysolde and Baltic getting it on and not quite enough time on plot. I know there stuff like that in the other books, but I'm pretty sure there was more side stuff going on too. Ah well... "
— Kieraanne, 2/19/2014" Getting tired of caveman dragons, you are my mate, do what I say, I will protect you, blah blah blah. Then there is Ysolde, who is dead, then not, then dead, then not, who can't remember her past life, then some, then not. Tired of Baltic saying "The old Ysolde...." I like strong women characters, but constantly going behind the backs of the guys to do it doesn't mean they are strong, just that they have disfunctional relationships. I did like parts of it, but it had too many problems to really enjoy it, and I kept thinking, "This could have been so much better...." "
— Mary, 2/2/2014" review coming soon, thought it was great "
— Juju221, 1/21/2014" Had an abrupt end. I enjoyed this book. She set the plot up nicely for some good intrigue in the next book. I feel so bad for Kostya, poor fella. I guess there will be a green dragon series up next! "

— Jessica, 12/28/2013" Enjoyed the others in this series, but this one didn't seem to go anywhere with the story. Listened to it on Audible and got bored. "
— Kim, 12/16/2013" While the Silver Dragon series is still my favorite, I'm such a sucker for these books. Baltic just cracks me up. I can't wait to start the next one. "
— Ashley, 11/28/2013" Thoroughly enjoyed; sure it's a bit of fluff, but one I enjoyed immensely. I love the dragons serieses! "
— Boneist, 10/25/2013" I've spent way too much of my time the past few days reading MacAlister's dragon stories. The implausibility of her tales cannot be overstated, but I still find myself reading and wanting more. "
— Cheryl, 9/27/2013" ROFL! These two are hilariously stubborn and hot-headed with each other! "
— Loretta, 8/6/2013" Love, love, loved this book. I waited a year for this book, and was not disappointed! Interesting twists in the tale of Ysolde and Baltic on their quest to be readmitted to the weyr. I'm sure I'll be waiting another year for the next one. I can't wait! "
— Rebecca, 5/18/2013" I love Katie MacAlister, but the fun and silly moments that hooked me seem to be falling by the wayside. I was not so disappointed that I will stop reading, because it was still a good book. However, it was not on par with what I expect from MacAlister. "

— Melissa, 6/20/2011" I liked this book, the only problem was I didn't read the first one. So I was left behind a little trying to catch up. Also The way it ends leaves it open for more, but I didn't care for being left hanging! "
— Emily, 6/18/2011" I love how the characters grow, and the plot thickens with each book. Can't wait for the next Baltic/Ysolde story! "
— Jess, 6/13/2011" As usual, a typical funny romp through dragons. Not much story/character development, but that's all been done in previous books.

A light, entertaining read - but you probably have to like Katie MacAlister's writings in the first place! "
— Carole-Ann, 5/31/2011" While there was still moments that made me laugh out loud, the book felt really disjointed to me, I got lost on the rambles.. and the pace seemed off. "
— Edie, 5/30/2011" Good....i´ve liked every other dragon book better, but it was Ok....
Thing is, most of it´s just not that thrilling as the others....
eventhough I keep loving the characters, all the guys are just so funny in their bad assness. "
— Marcela, 5/28/2011" I'm getting confused, and starting to lose interest. "
