"A fun read. It had all of Katie MacAlister's trademarks - hot hero, snarky heroine, and funny situations. It is my favorite Dark Ones novel since the early ones. It was a 5 star read until the end. The ending was just too rushed for me. I would recommend it to anyone who likes their paranormal romance on the funny side."

“MacAlister shows no signs of slowing down. The author’s clever use of humor and hilarious situations continues to keep the series fun and fresh…The romance is flirtatious and enjoyable, the characters are interesting, and the world in which they live has depth and adventure.”
— RT Book Reviews (4 stars)" Funny dialogue, both external and internal. Not as good as some of the other books in the series. Good light and amusing read. "
— Debbie, 2/12/2014" Charmingly little paranormal romance with a little mystery. Pretty much anything this writer has written has been great. This novel features Io and has a bit of a time traveling adventure with a new Dark One. . . "
— Stacy, 1/19/2014" Time travel and vampires "
— Mark, 1/7/2014" There were some very comical lines and moments in the story. IF you want to read something that is light then this is a good choice. "
— Lisa, 1/7/2014" Silly and fun. She's done much better with her dark ones "
— Marj, 11/29/2013" Another fun book from Katie MacAlister - I do wish Io didn't blather so much, but hey, we all have our quirks and peccadilloes. Now I'll be waiting for the next book to see what happens next. "
— Lori, 11/23/2013" Waste of time. Repetitive, condescending.... "
— Mary, 11/6/2013" Very funny, as only Katie MacAlister can be! I think Nikola is one of my favorite heros. He's kind of zany and smart at the same time. My favorite combo! "
— Mary, 10/31/2013" I received this book as a free first read. It was the most humorous is not strangest Romance novel I have yet to read. I thoroughly enjoyed, anachronisms and all. Would recommend for light reading. "
— Marcia, 10/27/2013" Some of my favorite series to read involve time-travel and now Katie MacAlister has added that element in to her already fabulous books? SQUEEE!!! "
— Shadee, 10/16/2013" This is the story of Benedikt's father and quite frankly, I enjoyed it more than Ben's. The chemistry was fun and I loved how curious Nikola was. I've been in a bit of a reading funk and this helped me out of it. "
— Bibli-oh, 10/8/2013" I love Katie MacAlister! I couldn't stop laughing, as is the same with all of her books. The constant bickering and babbling had me rolling. I can't wait for the next one. "
— Jacini, 9/25/2013" Comes out in September, 2012 "
— Dcf260, 9/12/2013" Love Katie MacAlister for funny, quick reads. Didn't love this. "
— Jacqui, 6/20/2013" I have to admit I found Nikola a little sillier than I expected from a Dark One, but I guess it works since he wasn't deep into their society. I enjoyed Io and her consonant-less name and it was sure fun to get a little more Fran and Benedikt. I hope we get an Imogene and her ghost story. "
— Amy, 4/22/2013" I loved the end, the very end that left me dying for more! Least favorite part? There was no sneak peek of the next book! Way to keep me waiting, Katie! "
— Nikki, 3/19/2013" Ms MacAlister gave us another great story of her dark sexy vamps. "
— Caryn, 11/24/2012" This series is a funny take on the whole vampire thing. I like the characters and the little bit of mystery and adventure. It is an adult series though-in the sense that the language and sex are there. "
— Stacy, 11/14/2012" I laughed out loud in public a few times! Fun book! "
— Jessica, 10/26/2012" Another great book in this wonderful series. The woman are Strong, and the men are Hot. What more can you ask for. "
