New York Times best-selling authors Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins have sold more than 60 million copies of their Left Behind series, the fastest-selling adult fiction series of all time. Now these extraordinarily popular writers unveil the hotly anticipated Countdown to Rapture series, the thrilling saga that leads to the events of the Left Behind books.

Ray Steele is absolutely sure of just one thing, he does not want to take over the family business. Instead, he longs to become a pilot. On the other side of the world, Marilena Carpathia dreams of motherhood. Through genetic engineering, she is about to get her wish. " This was actually, probably, my favorite book of the series, because it was just so EVIL. No real surprise there, considering how much I love horror and scary stuff in general. LOL. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's still totally horrible, but much more tolerable than some of the other books in the series. "

    " Very satisfying "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Daniel | 2/12/2014

" This is a great book, but only if you have read the whole Left Behind series. This book gives you a perspective of Nicolai and Rayford's life before the rapture and what happen that made what they became to be in the Left Behind series, and although this book is really good, I don't think I would have read if I haven't read the series first. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Glenda L | 2/7/2014

" I read all of the Left Behind books and thought they were amazing ... this book now has filled in some of the parts that were missing. It is about the two men in the books ... Nicholae and Rayford. It is the story of their childhoods and how they came to be who they were. You have to have read the prior Left Behind books for this all to make sense. What a wonderful book!!! "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Dawn | 1/23/2014

" I loved the Left Behind Series. This was a very good prequel to the series. It was very interesting to see how Nicolae was born and everything was set into motion. "

" A new series of Left Behind books, this is book 1 of 3 leading up to the rapture. It details the birth and early life of Nicolae, and of Rayford and Irene Steele's life. Give a background for characters in the original series. "

" I have read all of the Left Behind Seies and They do not disappoint. I suggest You start with the Pre's This one especially was enlightening. "

" This wasn't a comfortable read for me and I ended up stopping half way through. I was not thrilled to ponder how the anti-christs childhood would be like, nor was I that much interested in thinking about the enemy he is, and will be, to all mankind and God someday. I got bored real fast. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Peg | 1/17/2014

" One of three books that precede the "Left Behind" series. A must read, it fills in a lot of the blanks. "

" This is another series with the Left Behind series although it is only 3 books in this series. It focuses on the beginnings of Nicholae and his early years before he comes into the Left Behind (12 book series) I guess a pre-quel to the Left Behind although it was written afterwards. "

" I read this one in three days! The developement of the child antichrist is very realistic. Very good but could have been a little better. It seemed a little 'chopped-up' at times, but it was easy to follow the storyline. I still would recomend it! "

" It was very good till the last forty pages. The last forty pages just dragged. It wasn't even in story form, it was just telling you what happened. Two or three pages of that is fine, but forty! Still, I plan to read the rest in the series. I just hope they don't all end the same way. "

" Not very many people read this book, they don't really know it is there. It is a bit of a weird book, its all about the Antichrists mother and how she had him and the relationship between her husband, and its just really weird. But its still good and worth the read. "

" This entire series was great! It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time and made me excited for the next book to come out. It wasn't a "preachy" book but at the same time did witness. My review will be the same for all the books in the series. Well worth reading!! "
